Blizzard’s Dragonflight expansion has released, and its time for this FFXIV weeb to react to a WOW video. Captain Grim’s “The Collecting Experience”, about how it feels to kill the same boss 1000x for a rare mount that never drops. Achievements for dying from fall damage. Legendary transmogs that get boring as soon as you get them. And finally a monstrous collector nuking an innocent squirrel to put in his sack of pets like 150 pokemon crammed into one pokeball where they will spend the rest of their lives. As a Final Fantasy XIV player, this depiction is horrifying – just kidding this is how literally every MMO is, and we LOVE IT. never realized that my Island Sanctuary was actually Tataru's clever way to create minion sanctuary's and save them from our smelly bags.
That's just like how pokemon works, you're encouraged to beat up and kidnap hundreds of innocent animals so that they can remain crammed into their pokeballs for the rest of their lives. Gotta enslave 'em all!
