Hello. It’s been a while! Sorry about that, I’m finally back from the shop with milk.
So in all seriousness, I feel like I have a lot to talk about regarding WoW and my situation, but honestly I may make a separate video on that. But for now – I have quit playing WoW.
The game and the company are just a shell of their former selves. There isn’t a day for me that goes by where I don’t think about the good times and memories I’ve had in WoW and how they aren’t coming back. Even though I loved Classic initially, I was surprised how it also could fall in my eyes due to Blizzard’s neglect. The whole situation is sad. Dumb decisions have been stacking for over 5 years now and the game is a mess. In recent times, every time I played WoW I had to stop every 10 minutes or so and ask myself “Where did it all go wrong?”. I just don’t think it’s worth my time and money anymore.
That isn’t to say I’m quitting WoW content, I’m still not sure about that and will update you when I make a decision. This also doesn’t mean I’m switching over to FFXIV content, it just so happened that I’ve been enjoying it on streams and I didn’t feel okay making WoW centred videos.
Also, I may be trying to put in some more time into streaming, because it’s honestly been pretty enjoyable. So feel free to drop by 🙂

This is so true. I was so used to 1-wipe-quits in WoW, but it hardly ever (if at all) happens in FFXIV. Everybody is very friendly, even those that came from WoW. It might be just the atmosphere of the game itself that makes people less hostile.

  2. God the part about the ‘wipe’ was so accurate, I had multiple dungeon runs that became pretty much absolute train wrecks for one reason or another, yet I had only ever had ONE toxic player experience. Everyone was all willing to just buckle down and continue on, give advise to players who were falling behind on what to do, etc.

Said toxic player was a player who yelled at me, for suggesting to him (nicely) that inbetween healing, he should cast some damaging spells, especially since there were moments when he wasn’t casting anything. Aka: Not following his ABCs

  3. The multiple wipe story I’ve had a number of times, I had one ten wipe on an extreme dungeon , no tilting , everyone was joking . And when we got that mummy boss on the 11th try it was awesome and everyone congratulations each other . Just so amazing

  4. This entire thing is fantastic, but no one is talking about the housing scene: Literally the first thing I did after finishing ARR was to get into crafting and start making money until I got a house. That feeling of finally putting something you had worked so hard towards in your completely and new empty room, knowing it's just the start it's so-so underrated.

  5. the ex-orc player at the beginning, that's how i've ended up whenever i talk about wow with others. i wonder when they'll tell me to piss off and/or tell me to stop talking about it. i just find some comfort in being able to repeat some things i guess
