  1. It's not even really harder. Just more challenging and you can't play the new dungeons anymore while being brain afk. Also people are not used anymore to failing something.
    , which is sad imo.
I'm playing FFXIV since 2013 and i am glad to get more enganging content again after many years with braindead content instead.

  2. I don't see how people say content is more challenging in DT. All of the content in DT was so easy it was kinda bleh to run. The only thing that would seem anywhere near challenging is Strayborough dungeon which is an option expert dungeon, and M2 in raids if youre not paying attention. Other than that msq dungeons were easy, trials were easiest ones we've ever had and there hasnt been really much of a challenge in this expansion. The EX trials are even easy enough to do without any markers and minimal effort. DT was so easy content wise I'm actually worried savage raids will be a joke at this point.

  3. I love the spike in difficulty. My first time taking on the first DT trial boss, I think we wiped about 7 times. The dps check stage of that fight requires major coordination of the party as you have to destroy the targets on the field while simultaneously dodging back to back aoes and stack attacks.

Going into it with a duty finder rando party led to us having to die several times before we realized we had to do something like…talk and plan……………

  4. This is exactly why you do not cater to the lowest common denominator, but all they cared about was getting more and more subscribers to pour their money into the game. As a result, they created a cesspool of self-entitled snowflakes who up until this expansion only had gender locked gear and highchairs to complain about.
I would love to take these players back in time to Pharos Sirius, The Lost City of Amdapor, or Copper Bell Mines HM when this content was new.

  5. Who's actually saying this, because everyone I play with and all the streamers I watch don't really seem to have a problem with this expansion… Minus Pictomancer, some of my friends can't stand Pictomancer.

  6. God damn the support on this game is bad. Try getting a "help ticket" on this game if you get locked out. My account was locked out during the massive Gmail hack, and because support is NON-EXISTENT, I have never been able to get back into it or UNLINK it from my PSN account.

  8. Again, streamers and specially WANNABE streames who don't even have clout and even more specifically the western ones, are the worst thing to happen to FFXIV. The devs continuing to appeal to the western audience MORE than the eastern, when currently the west is in the WORST cultural identity crisis of a century, is the achilles hill of the game. The western "community" is the pettiest, dumbest bunch of whinning toxic filth.

These people there are complaining about the game being too difficult when AT THE SAME TIME there is a HEALER STRIKE because of how irrelevant they feel (not think) in the group whether it is for dungeons, raids or trials because of how much sustainability they feel (not think) every non-healer class now has. That's how easy they imply the game is with their derranged tantrum.

So who's right? The answer is easy: NEITHER.They all assume their personal experience, ineptitude, and lazyness is how eeveryone is and they don't accept another reality where people get intot he game and learn how to play their job and the merchanics to EVENTUALLY clear, not to clear everything the first try always all the time as they expect in order to then trash the game onlien saying it's "tooo easy and there's content draught":

The devs gave us better content to keep us busier and now they complain. The eastern audience is demanding but not petty, nor lazy, nor incoherent. the eastern audience knows what they want and in general they like to be challenged. The western audience wants to clear the game the first try for views and fake-cry over the MSQ on stream and afterwards, trash the game and being reductive and insulting and having the worst, most ignorant takes in orded to show the stream they are "not weebs" and that they have a "real and valid" opinion and not that they are just generally stupid.

  9. It reinforces the theory that Woke people never had to work for anything in their lives. They just want to be given things on the premise of their victimhood. Gatekeep your games from being woke? Just make it hard and maintain the pressure.

  10. Well, maybe there're a slight bit more mechanics to some bosses but overall, no, the dungeons haven't become harder. At most you gotta pay a bit more attention but not by musch once you got the mechanics down.

  11. I was surprised how challenging level 100 dungeons were, at first. Low and behold, soon as i learned them, they werent bad at all. My 2 cents, they just went back to ARR/Heavensward far as difficulty.

  12. I was quitting because too much wokeism and the dungeons are more challenging and fun. I may just resub, lol. And yes we have a huge problem with single-player gamers who want things easier. Main reason I main FF11 because FF14 is too easy. I need a challenge.

  13. I did noticeba dificulty increase this expansion, but i didnt think it was that hard. Im a casual player who never touches savage content, but i did fine in the dingeons and raids. I definitely think its a skill issue.

For example, first time fighting Honey B. We had one guy who complained non stop about how much he hated the raid, started the fight and found that it wasnt that bad if you just payed attention. Granted, we wiped once because half the party was new and didnt know to coordinate for the hearts, but webwon on the second try. Soynds like people need to learn that they do indeed actually have to PLAY the game.

Like, if you get to Dawntrail and havent figured out how to guess what kind of move the boss is about to do based on markers and signals like arrows or glowing arms, then thats just you being bad.
