  1. on your topic 1 are you really sure the new sony (aka sony of the west) would want se with there stance on pc, the stance on censorship? Sony is not the same sony of the old like it was

  2. Honestly, I hope they never change the macro system because XI's was horrible and I'm so glad it's not working like that in XIV. Having to macro staves to every BLM spell was the absolute worst.

  3. Square Enix does not fit in with the Microsoft ecosystem that is the reason that they won't sell to Microsoft. The last time Microsoft made an offer to buy Sqaure-Enix they got laughed out of the room.

  4. Square denying really doesnt mean anything, cause if there was something going on legally they arent even allowed to talk about it publicly. Both legally and pr wise their statement really doesnt mean anything. I agree Squared would be a mighty strong leverage tool to put GP on PS. Also Sony couldnt even afford it without taking a serious financial risk since PS has been carrying the entire parent company. Even if Sony could gather the capital they already bumped into regulator trouble over Chruncyrol, and since Square's also does anime/manga that could be a potential bump on the road to. Also Chris thinking MS isnt going to make future FF"S exclusive is just wishful thinking, Spencer said he would honor excisting deals, and clearly Chris doesnt know either what MS means by "legacy" which is term they also use with none gaming related software, but with gaming this only means that games who are "games as a service" will continue to get support.

The same rule as with Bethesda applies, FF will sell subscriptions; which are more worth than a one time purchase (over which they have to pay Sony 30%) from a relative small part of the PS installmentbase. Also the myth that its impossible to take over an Japanese company is way to overrated, there is some exta red tape but that isnt going to scare of an party who means buisness. Also through Tango MS can go around a lot of the extra red tape, if its true; Square would be a big get for anyone. Time will tell if this rumor has grain.

  5. Honestly game pass is overrated imo…sure its a great value, but its only good if you play a lot of games. In my case I prob. Only play four or five games a year…currently ive been playing XIV, RDR2, and Elite Dangerous for more than a year….they never get old to me. When Witcher 3 next gen upgrade comes out Ill put a couple hundred more hours on top of the five hundred hours I have in that game.
Plus I like to pay full price for the developers and studio for which games I love

  6. Microsoft is not the little guy. Letting them win is not a good thing. It just makes the gaming world more of a monopoly if you let them win. How you view video games is not how the general public views video games. If your only mind set about video games is the social aspect, you are in the minority not the majority. MMORPGs are a niche part of gaming. So, in your mind, if Sony losing Square Enix takes away all social aspects of Sony gaming and you are no longer interested, so what? You are the niche not the masses. I agree that if Sony lost Square Enix it would be a massive blow but not for the reasons you stated. You are overblowing your community. And no, Microsoft would not let SQE games to be released on PS if they bought SQE. Look at what they are doing with Bethesda. Every commercial I see on Twitch is a Game Pass/Bethesda commercial. They will monopolize all games. It is what they do. See Microsoft Windows.

  7. The problem with .5 patches is you are not getting double the story. They are just splitting it in half to stretch it as much as possible because of the longer gap.

  8. If SE REALLY want to make an effective gil sink, what they need to do is have an NPC selling raid pots or some new raid buff item. The raid community would delete billions buying them.
