  1. The combat response /sliding/delay/animation lock mix that happens while your target is not even in the position you're aiming that would be my first issue, the PVP is beyond pathetic and this is not even a debate to have over… + it has the most washed-up graphics out of the big MMOs out there if that is something that matters to you.
If the rest of the things that it is generally praised for, such as the story will scratch your itch enough to cover the above then be a happy man and have fun! I tried it and I could not get over them but I can see why it has a place in the best MMORPGs out there.

  2. The problem with Blizzard PR and Community is more that they are used to try and repair the damage from the decisions of the higher ups rather than them having a voice to actually keep bad things from happening. It seems like everyone internally knows these are bad ideas but the lords above force it through to maximize profit and are just like 'well you guys clean up the mess please'

  3. I don’t know what WoW has gotten or not gotten. But this slide…

5.55 is a very small patch. Contains an hour or two of main story quest, with one duty. And Bozja which is a day or twos grind, and a raid, it’s pretty much a copy paste of the previous Bozja zone which is popular with some not so much with others. And a relic grind. You could effectively see the whole patch in a week or so.

Make it rain campaign is simply extra MGP at the gold saucer for a time, along with maybe a small quest. 5.57/5.58 are technical patches by the sounds of things, replacing rewards and things. The rising is a small questline with an item as a reward, maybe a short minigame. The FFXV event is a small questline with a popular mount reward.

This is content to last 7 months. It’s not that much. It’s strategically placed to stop people from leaving – for instance you will need lots of MGP in new expansion as they always add a lot of items. That mount is highly sought after from people who missed it. So they’re basically there to get people to pay a months sub for either existing content or a very short quest.

It may be impressive v what another game is doing but it could be better for such a long gap.

  4. Hope these two podcasters have fun with FFXIV. Seems like they don't dive deeply into endgame so they can enjoy the casual experience of FF. I don't even think Bellular dives into any real M+ content and only does Heroic Raiding so he's the type of player that would enjoy FF more over WoW. There are some nice, casual things that FF has over WoW, but their end game is truly garbo compared to WoW in terms of raiding and dungeons.

  5. Final Fantasy XIV: pumps content, despite having their lead audio designer in hospital with cancer for months with him working and composing from the hospital
World of Warcraft: "but guys.. there's a pandoomic" 🙁

  7. I was never even remotely interested in TBC because I was never really fond of the expansion as a whole in the first place because lizard does such a horrible job add there in game narration that most of the stuff that was going on during that expansion happened off-camera based on lore that most of the players didn’t even know about!

  8. Never liked final fantasy( i mean the games called final fantasy yet theres 14 of them) and I’m not going to start now just because the best MMORPG of all time is slipping up.

  9. While I love FFXIV and it basically ate my entire winter, it's important to remember that when you start, you have a lot of development years of content ahead, while in an mmo you play right now, you already played just about everything you want and are waiting for the next piece of content.

  10. I've never really been interested in FFXIV bcoz they had no OCE servers and I live in Aus. But with them coming out with End Walker I'm thinking that will be the time to jump in!

  11. man white boys everywhere are getting chemically castrated by byproducts that they actually think putting stockings on their cat ear waifu is more content than anything WoW has to offer. Sure the crafting is cool but why in the hell would anyone ever raid,PvP, dungeon on any other game except WoW? You're lying to yourself because you're bored. WoW will have you back.

  12. The reason why it feels good to play FFXIV and feels bad to play WoW is that WoW uses time gating to stop you from progressing the story and the world and doing the generally fun parts, whereas FFXIV does not. It lets you experience the content at your own pace and is designed specifically for people that move slowly or people that resub every few months to play the new content then drop the sub till the next patch. The lead dev even said in an interview that it's a perfectly fine way to play the game.

WoW is so scared of their sub numbers rubberbanding around major patches that they try to force the playerbase to stay to see what they want and that feels horrible as a player.

  13. Listening to a YouTubers opinion is about as sane as listening to the forum post QQn. They have no idea what they are even saying they just have an audiance.

  14. TBC Classic has bought them some wiggle room, this also implies that if Blizz botches another patch or expansion up that WotLK Classic will buy them some more wiggle room. Blizz has to implement a change that will affect not only Shadowlands but the next two ore more expansions in a good way. But what I've seen from 9.1, we're not getting it anytime soon. The only change I can see that would work is a management change, they need to get rid of Ion and the higher ups, they are without a doubt some of the worst leaders I've ever seen in the video game industry.

  15. The only reason I'm having trouble getting into the game is I don't like any of the races really, and the colors in the game seem too subdued in the zones. I love how colorful everything is in WoW, and the races are much more creatively made as opposed to taking a human and slapping cat ears on it.

  16. PVP in FF14 is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. the only thing thats good os the gear for glamour and I will fight anyone on this because no matter how well I may do, there is still zn underline communication problem. You MUST be on discord, psn chat or anything else that ficilitates VOICE CHAT. PC gamers can hackit because of their developed keyboarding skills but on console(yes I know you can use controller on pc too, BUTT…)its a slog.

I typically dislike pvp but for my Milisandia(Werlyt is the hint), I needed atleast some of the heal, magic dps, Ninja, Monk and moat is not all of the tank gear.

THIS is what makes PVP tolorable, oh and the marks you earn are good. The gameplay within PVP or PVP itself is still TERRIBLE…

  17. Play tbc classic if you want that old WoW feeling again. Just left FFXIV for wow classic and it feels so good to play a challenging game again. FF is fun, but I found it lost novelty quickly. The crafting system is awesome along with the class system, but there's just something about it that doesn't add up to the wow gameplay. The story is brutal compared to wow and the game seems to be geared towards people who want to play dress up and have a social experience more than an immersive experience. Just my thoughts.

  18. I have over 400 DAYS of playtime in FFXIV lol. It's the best mmo ever made once you get into it all and understand all the mechanics. The standout part though is just the classes… I fucking LOVE Dark Knight, Red Mage, White Mage, Monk, Dragoon… Shit Every class in FFXIV is more fun to play than any class in WOW.

  19. It helps that FFXIV's developers are almost all players as well. They are very in touch with the player base and understand what the players want, bring players themselves. WoW on the other hand seems very out of touch and I'm not sure if any of their developers ACTUALLY play the game or not. I played WoW from Vanilla all the way through BFA, and for me, the game has been going downhill since Lich King. It got worse when Blizzard got in bed with Activision. When I started playing FFXIV a few months before Shadowbringers came out, all I could think was, "I wish I had tried this game sooner." I would have dropped WoW like a bad habit if I had tried FFXIV sooner, and now I have done just that.

  20. Could you get someone that knows more about FFXIV to get your information? Ultimate's can be done at any level? No, they're synced to remain difficult, Make it Rain is seasonal? Yes, but it's an increase to the gold saucer which is permanent content, and there's a lot of it, many things he tells you is just wrong…

  21. Please show me where Blizz touch you…. we get it, you done with wow and now you wanna promote ffIX. What about making a video about FFIV and just be done with wow… instead of just shitting non-stop and comparing the 2… Get over it man and move on

  22. I started FFIV on Thursday of last week and I can´t stop playing. I love that 1 character can be a main and still be alts at the same time so that you don´t have to go back and farm stuff to get things unlocked. I am leveling a Bard-Paladin-Whitemage combo and just switching between the 3 depending on the quest or dungeon need. I also like unlocking flying in the area while questing and not having to wait for some patch 10 months later locked behind constant rep farming of WQ´s "a turtle made it to the water!"… I´m hooked. Already canceled WOW sub.

  23. I used to enjoy raiding in WoW. But FFXIV to me is far superior. Got Shadowlands because my friends planned to play it. They were like "all the cutscenes" "beautiful areas". And I was just thinking that FFXIV already has all of that and more.

  24. Started to get into FF14 because of you, am super glad that I have! The game is refreshing, fun & has some great quality-of-life advantages over WoW. I feel like FF14 values & respects your time/subscription unlike WoW…. feels like Blizz is doing anything & everything to milk/lead us on to stay by intentionally making things take more time or limiting the amount you can do weekly. #Blizzardstopdisrespectingus
