  1. Welly well well. I do not rejoice in others' problems. But I do have to say that while alot of us where and are having issues, all the big youtubers and their vassals where basically telling us to "Get good" at finding backwards ways of paying and subscribing. Now, knowing that SE wont want their beloved youtubers to promote the fiasco that is going on,i'm sure your issues,Miss Zepla, will be resolved soon enough. That is called being previleged based on status and connections. If not, well, welcome to the Shiitshow! Whatever happens, I hope people in your position will stick it to SE and not dismiss the lot of us who are stuck in this limbo. We are all, after all, Sons and Daughters of Eorzea. And together, with clenched fists and grinding teeth, we wait and look to Squaenix to FIX THIS SHIIT ONCE AND FOR ALL! Godspeed!

  2. By the way Zepla, it could be that you got those 3 servers to choose from because they aren't as populated, so maybe they tried controlling how many people can populate them?

As a EU player with a EU account, i started playing in NA servers and i only had Entry sub., transferring was not a problem. I'm more scared of moving to NA irl and having and EU account, needing to register an NA card or even needing to buy EU expansions going forward, while living in NA. This is a terrifying game design. The restrictions are a plague, the sub is fine, but the expansions, account restrictions to regions are over kill and should be removed. We only need one square enix store and when you buy smth it can simply convert how much you have to pay depending on where you are instead of going to a specific square store website.

    Simple fix:
    Remove all these region restrictions.
Set up one square enix website to purchase expansions etc.
Have every person select which country they are from an change the price they have to pay, based on where they live accordingly.
The information on where people live, can be a thing but it shouldn't create restrictions.
Using any credit card, from any country should be fine.
Return the ability to buy whatever you want with whatever currency, to whom ever, where ever they may be living.
We live in 2024, why are they making it seem like it's so very hard, as if we just invented the internet, these processes are easy with todays standards.
Technology is supposed to make it easy, but they're makin it so hard, might as well use envelopes.

  3. making this change at a time where there's SO MUCH going on in the world and SO MANY people are refugees of war as a result, like it's just. we know about zep because she's a popular streamer but i would be willing to bet this hit a looooot more people who are in the same situation where leaving their country of origin was out of their control. hell, even if someone just moved countries for work or family or something, this will suck for them.

  4. I refuse to believe that a billion dollar company can be so so dumb like this.

One thing that all other billion dollar companies do VERY well is to allow you to give them money but SE fails so hard.

50:30 All my 5 friends that I brought to the game had problems with the Mogstation, they did not know that it even existed and it's required to register the game code. Mogstation has got to go.
They all said "Why the fuck did they created a sepparate website to handle accounts? Why not do it all on the main website?"
It's so stupid, new players don't even know about Mogstation existance.

  6. the account I play on is the third one I made, and the email address I created specifically to play the game. Thankfully once I got that one working, it has remained working.
I know my brother has made new accounts every time he decides to try the game.
Taliesin from the mainly wow talker/streamers Taliesin and Evitel has stopped playing because he has had to remake his account several times, and on the latest time he got far enough in that doing it again is annoying, and the websites take him in circles. so… it is just so bad. :/

  7. Think of all the content available in starting a new account. Streams and videos for years. A decade even. 😛 In all honesty, I'm sorry you're going through this…

  9. Yeah I ended up playing ARR twice once on US then I accidently bought on EU copy of the game so I had to start over with an EU account. I'm just glad I didn't wait until the end of the free trial before buying the game otherwise I'd have to replay heavensward too.
If the community didn't do such a good job of promoting this game I would have thrown it in the trash right there.

  10. Hey Zepla, for gametime cards, you gotta let the entry sub to expire first so you can add it.

The payment issues are such a headache…I've resorted to gametime cards also…

  11. Square-Enix has never been very good about payment systems. A few of us remember the horrors of playing FFXI on the Playstation 2, and how much fun it was for an American to try to pay them. Back then, you had to juggle keeping 3 different accounts in sync (PSN, Square-Enix, and Play Online), and they didn't take credit cards directly, so your only options were to buy "crysta" from Square-Enix and remember to do it every month (if YOUR credit card worked there, mine did not), or to hunt your local supermarkets and pray you can find an "Ultimate Game Card" which would work as a payment method too.

  13. When ARR launched in 2014, the mog station felt archaic and completely stuck 20 years in the past. Things have advanced and now in the year 2024, they are stuck 30 years in the past.

The thing is, it's not going to get any better any time soon unless people will really make a big deal of this. This isn't just a FFXIV problem, it's not even just a Square Enix problem, it's all of Japan. They are just stuck in the past when it comes to everything related to web development and things are not advancing over there at all, they are in their own 90's bubble.

  14. I ran into the card issue since I hadn't subbed in a good while and had to buy a game time card from Amazon. Thank goodness that worked for me and I hope either Square Enix gets off their behind and gets things fixed or Zepla can find some kind of work around that works for her! Part of the problem with using a prepaid Visa or Mastercard for her is that she might have to get one from Ukraine, if that's even possible, due to now requiring the address for the card account to match the address of the Square account.

  15. Don't email SE support. CALL THEM. I had so much trouble dealing with SE support via email. I finally called them and they resolved my issue within minutes. It was not this same issue, so I can't promise good results, but email is definitely not going to work.
