  1. Fan Fest was a major bummer and people are on copium trying make more of it than it was. It was "par for the course." We are getting and expansion, and dungeons, and raids, and a little pvp, level cap increase, new jobs, zzzz…but where was the excitement!?!?! Where was something that does not happen with each expansion? New race? Nope. New ways to engage with dgs or raids? Nope. New ways to engage with the environment? Nope. The most exciting thing for me was two dyes for each glamour piece. OK, there you go. It adds new to something old. Hell if they even hinted at revamping V&C, that could have been enticing. Glamour journal, expanded character customization, something. The Xbox doesn't count. The revamped graphics we knew for a while, and it's cool, but I want to see them put that to good use before I get overly enthused. If a few years down the road they expand character customization like WoW did using the graphics overhaul, then alright, my foot goes in mouth.

  2. no, no, no not this grindy boring crap again …..jesus christ, i thought we were done with this garbage. it literally takes all the worst parts of old mmos and stuffs them into one big bag of boring. i know they tried to recapture the feel of og XI but its not the same. its so artificial and forced. and the zones are so bland and boring. just vast empty expanses. the whole thing is literally just grinding fates camouflaged as "content"

  3. Eureka and bozja did not respect anyone's time. Absolute trash content. Way too grindy, no party finder, and not user friendly. "Let's continue to use 3rd party tools outside of the game in order to play." The game has been out for a decade. There's no excuse for this kind of content to still exist in its current state. Pumping this content and cheering them on only ensures that squeenix continues to put 0% effort into improving it in any way.

  4. Sharing this to all my FF peers, this news is really hype and I honestly loved the SHB relic grind! Here's hoping Dawntrail relics maybe incorporates some steps with this type of new content.

  5. Ohh that's great news, I miss Eureka and Bozja even though I don't have much to get from them at this point, they were really great pieces of content to spend time in, specially while waiting for the new expansion. I really don't see there being any reason to stay subbed until Dawntrail comes out once we're done with 6.5 content, since we won't have stuff like Bozja or Eureka to sink hours into. Maybe if they jumpscare us with a beastmaster limited job release before Dawntrail? but I don't see that happening lol

  6. I’m sooo excited for this! I was reviewing my completed relics the other day and was like “oh no. I’m already halfway finished where the 19 and next step is 5 months away”. Having an exploratory zone isn’t just about the grind. It’s about having something engaging to do to pad and buffer the time in between each step.

Don’t let the nay-sayers or the toxic negative minded individuals out there get to you, Cole. Just keep being you. You’re amazing

  7. Bozja as a whole was an incredible time, amazing fight mechanics, less stress if you're a dummy like me and don't understand 100% of the mechanics. I'll still turn down every duel though, not to kinkshame, but forgetting Reflect in a public space isn't for me. But seeing the 5-7 folks queuing for Lacus Litore/Dalriada is really really sad. So, I'm mixed on Relics being a Tomestone dump… because I log in, do a handful of roulettes, log out… and hope that the wave of existential fear doesn't rip me out to sea.

And maybe a shiny new weapon every other day or week might help me forget all that.

  8. 1:48 simple put lack of midcore content . but nice to hear the ppl who like this content will get to do it . hopeful this will make midcore stop crying about relic and let casuals have relic too without needing to gatekeep .

  9. If they give us a whole new exploratory zone, I am somewhat hoping they give us Blindfrost (since Emet Selch mentioned that at the end of Endwalker) – Especially if 7.0 gives us New World for the whole expansion.

That way we have more of the planet covered.

And Exploratory zones are so much fun. So much stuff you can do as far as grinds, raids in the instance, bosses, etc. Bozja was that perfect content with the bosses. Casual enough, but also challenging enough to be that sweet spot for 40+ player content.

  10. One thing to note is that this is a translation of a rather casual Q&A and not an official announcement.

They did mention in the keynote that they are planning on something like deep dungeon but they were also considering something else…

We don't know that these two are the same thing, but we don't know that they're not either. So it might not be anything remotely like bozja. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, we'd have to see what it is.

One thing they WILL have to address is how DC travel has completely nuked activity in 3/4 of the NA data centers…so if they implement a bozja style content the same was as bozja is…this could serously hurt a lot of DC's even further…

  11. As a mostly solo casual, this kinda makes me groan tbh. Because there will be a lot of people coming in after the hype of it, and itll be harder to get groups (Eureka) But as long as they have a way for people like that to be able to go through it without having to constantly spend time LFG in discords or party finder, its fine. If theyre going to put dungeons in there like Bozja, make them que-able from the duty list at any time. Things like that. THE GRIND IS FINE… as long as you can just jump in and do it, whether solo or with friends.

  12. BE THANKFUL THAT 14 LETS YOU HAVE TIME TO PLAY OTHER GAMES, I swear to god ive never seen a community asking for more chores, constant chores is why I left WoW, just take a break, I get it you make 14 content, but chill out and go play BG3 or something. Nothing wrong with tomestone artifacts after the community complained about bozja

  13. I started in ShB so I missed eureka, tried to get into it but fell off hard in pagos and just couldn’t get back into it once bozja dropped
Absolutely loved bozja, from the duels to the “critical engagements” and the number of builds possible with lost actions and essences
And then of course castrum to delubrum to dalriada, day 1 diablo armament is a cherished memory
So so excited to see what they could/will do with a third given what they’ve (hopefully) learned and taken as the best of both but I’ll still probably love it regardless

  14. Maybe meracydia could be the new eureka/bozja zone Equivalent of dawntrail I mean it was mentioned towards the end of 6.0 and we don't seem to be going there atleast for the 7.0 msq anyway I mean it's doubtful but could be possible

  15. I think Square's strategy was to experiment with more soloable end-game content in Endwalker since they would try really hard to get single-player FF fans in 6.x. Variants, Island, Hildi, Tataru and the current Relic all have in common that you can do them completely solo without a party.

Meanwhile in Eureka you are constantly LFGing, prepping NMs with other people, and must beg a good Samaritan for a Raise when you die. I don't think a duty support Andy would enjoy that very much, lol.

Also they probably thought in their planning that the new Deep Dungeon have way more life than it ended up having. I came in late to the EO party and I was surprised to find a > 30 min queue to do floors 1-10. I guess there are more fun ways to level DPS now (coughBSFcoughZadnorcough.)
