  1. i find it funny that people still proceed to do the smile shtick when jesse is literally on the current newest patch that everyone else is, there is nothing to spoil, just discuss the lore and theorycraft

  2. I'm right there with you jesse. there's something about that last scene with zenos at the end of endwalker that just feels unfinished. something left undone or unsaid yet. with him just laying on the ground.

  3. even if its not zenos itself , i have the understanding that the avatar makes a packt with his reaper with the payment of the soulls he kills or his own soul on death . so as sayed it might not be zenos himself but there is for sure a part of him in that thing . maybe that part is so strong to wrestle controll over it ? who knows.

  4. I think Zenos' pact voidsent was the Azem shard of the Thirteenth. Also, we never saw that the voidsent and Golbez WEREN'T the same so don't count it out just yet.

  5. I feel it is worth mentioning that when Acians are "dead", other anscians describes them as being "gone" or as the Ancient say "return to the star".
I find this significant, because the interview (at least the translation) mentions many times that Zenos is dead, but not a single mention of him being "gone", especially when he is considered an "ascian in all but name" which we see with his ability to body snatch and teleport in Endwalker.

That means while his body is "dead", his soul maintain its individuality within the aetherial sea instead of dissipating.

Which begs the question: where is his soul? Is it aimlessly wandering the end of the universe, is it in the aetherial see, is it eaten by the Avatar or is it somewhere else?
Or is his soul strong enough like the unsundered Ascians that he can possess living being like, say, a certain voidsent?

  6. Yikes, if they stay true to Golbez then things are looking bad for our resident Azure Dragoon Estinien. Man has already lived a really hard life.

I just love how this expansion continues to remind us how much is it a love letter to FFIV.

Can't wait to see what their designs actually look like in game. I wonder how they'll incorporate the Archfiend's mechanics once we actually get to fight them? Barbariccia's whirlwind, Rubicante's cape and party heals, etc.

  7. Zenos is dead. Dead is dead (unless you're Y'shtola). But his RPR voidsent, I'd like to think, turns out to be Cecil. Him and Golbez fought together to 'save' the 13th, but something happened that turned Cecil into that.

  8. I so want Zenos to be alive in some manner or way, but I do think it's too early for them to pull it out as a big wowwie reveal, because I am in 100% agreement with how fucking cool Zenos became in 6.0.

  9. Here's the thing – OUR voidsent is 'unusually cooperative'. With the introduction to Golbez in the cutscene, the probabilities are VERY good that our voidsent is Cecil. Chances are, Zeno's voidsent was another FFIV villain. My bet is on Zeromus.

  10. The whole zenos reaper = wol reflection reminds me of hythlodaeus = graha/one of scion shard back in shadowbringer. We dont have any clue yet but people so bold to make stupid claim like that smh
