  1. ……I kind of get what he is saying that the “underground activities”. It’s restoring itself because it was never meant to be out in the open. When it did, it triggered the normies to “fix” the problem……which made it worse for everyone. So they know they can’t stop RMTs or any other activities that the normies can’t deal with, but made them go back underground which restoring the natural order of things. So yeah, I can agree that the normies, the ones that are offended by it, is fixing the problem without realizing it lol.

  2. That's how Jagex is with RMT. They punish sellers heavily but the ONLY time they go after a buyer is if you get caught buying an infernal cape, and even that is rare now because of TeamViewer.

  3. I disagree with one point… If people want something, they will do what they need to get it. Because it becomes more sectretive doesn't mean they still wont go for it… I mean it was secretive before.
The game should work with these boosters so that they can come to an agreement so that they don't have to be secretive.

I have never used the services personally and if i miss out on a mount because of it, so be it. But I still like the option to be there.

  4. This is Hillarious xD Absolutely frickin' hillarious.
It's every time. Every single time Blizz and Square are facing the same problem, they go in completely opposite directions. Blizz wants to increase automation and machine learning to handle the reports, Square says they will investigate every report manually to check for violations. I wonder which way will result in less false bans… Square knows they have the money, so to check manually won't hurt their bottom line, Blizz once again sacrifices player-care to further optimize their profits.

  5. RMT obviously is bullshit and should be banned.

But i don't think boosting for an ingame currency that can't be traded for real money should be a problem. FF XIV doesn't have anything similar to the WoW token and farming Gil seems to be pretty easy too if you really want to. I would rather prefer if they just put boosting in it's own section.

  6. Funny bit is, if other servers are the same as the one i'm on, check the fellowships tab, it was loaded with channels hawking carries right after.
And it seems that is a bannable offense still.

  7. I don't think FFXIV cares about how you get your clear so much as they don't want RMT involved, and honestly if people buy their clears or not it should be up to them, if I had the gil I'd happily do it for some content. I don't care if someone buys it or not. I'm not into the whole git gud skill mentality my mentality is about as many people enjoying the awesome story as possible. What this does shouldn't discurge people getting help just make it harder for illicit actors to do illegal rmt things.

And seriously why should it matter if someone pays for something or not, I don't get the hate.

  8. And I had a few friends say "This isn't going to do anything…Many other games done this and nothing happened."

    Since this update?

There has been not a SINGLE Run-Sellers on Midgardsormr PF listing AT ALL. Not a single one exists now, only actual runs, 1 or 2 people asking for help, and the usual Club/RP stuff and it is absolutely beautiful. Seriously when it was the quiet-times ingame and ALL You see on PF is just the sell runs? It was immensely depressing to see.

  9. if these things dont bother normal players i dont see any problem with it

if you give a player enough money to retire in real life he is going to end up getting ahead of everyone else

  10. Blizzard will never enforce any kind of anti-RMT rules because Ybarra has showed us that they support boosts, they profit from boosts, and they will increasingly design the game around boosts.

  11. So I haven't been on since before the changes to clear sales TOS change, but MAN the Party finder looks so CLEAN now. I didn't realize how big of a difference this was. This whole time I had just been sort of used to the eyesore that was the top of the Party Finder, just making it a blind spot but now at the very top boom, actual activities.
