As for the queue, it always happens really quick so unless you see a queue for a couple hundred or a thousand then you don't really have to actually wait. The time you do spend waiting even if there are 20 people is because I believe the game puts people in batches so like every lets say 30 seconds 20 people are let in. So it's technically a queue but not a true one 🙂
