  1. The hilarious thing about why I want a few million Gil is so I can buy a player house. Maybe the silliest reason to want to amass Gil for FF14. I guess I am hoping that more wards will be opened up, and I can beat the other scramblers to a small house in the Goblet like everyone else.

  2. I have been playing for 10 years and I have never needed millions on the double digit level (well maybe when I bought my house, but that was a one off) Especially not for expansions, they do not require you to be rich to experience the whole thing. Worst of all, most of the effort you put into relic hunting is rendered moot when the first green you get already surpasses your BiS from the prior expansion lol!
PS: If you do want to pile up money, just level a Botanist or a Miner. If you are more dedicated, level up a crafter like Blacksmith or Armorer to complement Mining, or Culinarian or Alchemist for Botanist.

  3. Fastest way to make Gil? People are lazy in this game, get any crafter to max level and sell "Leve kits". Need to know what that is? Look up "Crafting as a service" then look up "Leve kits ff14". Your welcome.

Made 39M in two days, I'm a vet though and have everything in the game ar max so I'm at a slight advantage. This is a great time filler though while between orders.

  4. Me started 5.4 , now I have 120m gils. I don’t even have crafters nor gatherers. I’m a raider , don’t have the time for leveling crafting jobs , barely touched ishgardian restoration whatever y’all call it, Iv managed to hit 100m threshold last week. I can’t share all my secrets why ? Because all secrets have been shared by Chris , this channel and other ones he’s made before , super informative, one hint tho. Be willing to jump from worlds to worlds and be willing to understand the mb undercuts. Do your daily roulette adventure in needs. Company gcs.

  5. Another secret to making gil is to:
    – Get ALL of your crafters to at least level 30 to unlock Desynth fully. Certain crafters can desynth certain items so its best to have it all available. (You can do quick levemetes to help level them up faster.)

    – GREED, and NEED on every single loot you get in dungeons, trials, and alliance raids. Best way to start leveling up desynth is just to take a low level class into low level dungeons and loot everything you can. ( A lot of people pass on items, and there is always a item that your class can need on easily.) Just do a bunch of ocean fishing for CUL. (Optional:…and maybe buy some books for Alchemy, because it is the lowest to obtain through rng loot in dungeons.)

    – Desynth all of the extra gear/weapons you pick up, and sell the materials.
WARNING: Be sure you do not accidentally desynth gear/weapons you need. A good way to bypass this mistake is to take all of the junk loot out of your armory chest and put them into your inventory. That way the items are separate from the list, and you won't have to worry about this problem.

NOTE: You will get better materials to sell if you level up your crafters higher, loot higher ilvl items/fish, and have a higher desynth level. But even basic lv30 with not much desynth skill can make you loads of gil over time. (It is fine to desynth lv80 dungeon gear with a lv30 crafter, you will get nice stuff still) And yes, there is a lot of useless mats you will get through desynth too that will be better to sell to a npc than the market board. However, the game's rng gives a good flow of sellable mats in the midst of it all, AND its a great way to stock up on crystals if you plan on taking crafting serious in the future.
    – Now days in the game, you can solo a lot of old content to just grab all of the loot. You can do it on a BLU, or any high level class. Also leveling up your squadrons through command missions is a great way to get loot and rank them up at the same time. This can go up to lv60, so you got a pretty good range to work with. Might as well try to get a few things done at the same time right? (Zadnor, and Bozja lockboxes at this current time will give some flower accessories that won't sell very well on the MB, you can desynth those as well.)

Materials are always needed by all crafters, so you will be doing us all a favor by providing more for the realm. I hope this helps. <3

  6. Sitting at 70 million with never selling a single crafted item. Easy tips –

Get a rare drop, sell it. Buy it later when it's lower. Assuming you are doing content when it's fresh.
Have multiple leveled retainers and send them on Quick explorations. Coffers with the right paint in them are bank. Some glamours they bring back can be worth over 100,000 gil.
Sell Materia up to the last patch from extracting it or doing hunts and using the clusters.
Stop buying low level glams your could easily farm, craft yourself, or have an FC mate craft them with cheaper purchased mats.

All pretty passive income from just playing the game or a through button clicks.

  7. How to make gil: be paid to create midi music and do live music performances with my troupe (or my alts if I'm by myself) as Bard. Made millions and millions of gil from doing that. Getting paid to do something I love? Fuck yeah! Although creating midi files can be frustrating, but it's rewarding. Seeing people's reactions of their favorite song being played in the game puts a smile on my face.

  8. Can confirm this works awesomely. I haven't done a levequest in awhile so I had like 99 allowances when I went to do this. I ended up buying all the coffee biscuits. I got all HQ quality. When you turn in HQ it doubles the reward. It also asks you if you want to turn in additional items for each levequest. So you can turn in 3 times per levequest. So that's 9 HQ coffee biscuits, with double rewards each time for just one leve quest. Even after buying the coffee biscuits, I got all my gil plus more after turning it all in. So if I hadn't bought them and just crafted them. I would have more than doubled what gil I had. But like I said I also had 99 allowances for this first attempt.

  9. When you say regular ventures, does regular refer to "a consistent schedule" or one of the three venture options?

As well, I take it by weekly collectables, you mean Custom Deliveries, right?

Thanks for this info by the way! It'll come in handy.

  11. I'm a veteran player and "main" fishing, but I do a lot of gathering. To the point that my friends see me as the only legit tradecraft mentor since I do gathering and such way more than any combat stuff. But I have trouble searching for what makes money, despite spending so much time and understanding the professions. So this guide helped a ton. Thank you.

  14. Thumbs up big time for laying out a gil making method which is independent of the market. Generally these sort of videos list ways of making gil that very quickly die out because so many people jump on the advice.
