The Pandaemonium raid lore is a LOT deeper than I think we all appreciate, and here’s the proof. Once again, the FFXIV development team have done a banging job!

Another Matt video hype
Yo we here
Great raid! Why Lahabrea tho? He is the worst Ascian.
New Youtube meta: Shit on WoW, Praise on FFXIV = proffit… Disgusting. Every video for the last 6+ months was about shitting on WoW, we get it.. its bad, move on?
You have such a great narrating voice Matt. I also love your accent <3
tartus=tataru the last boss 😮
Love the background and lore here Matt! Great job 😀
Wait are these the official lyrics for Hc Svnt Leones?
Fantastic video!
Lore info is great.
Though that static filter on the information page is incredibly distracting. Please dont use that in the future.
Who's Themis? That's simple… you have to look at all the hints in the expansion of Shadowbringers to the cutscene at the finale of Endwalker to know the truth. I got a chill when I heard his voice is the same as another… voice. Elibilus since he said he's allied to the Convocation.
Having been sorta disappointed with the raid story thus far this makes so much sense and makes me feel a lot more interesting atleast in where it goes tyfor the lore!
I THINK YOURE ONTO SOMETHING, i did a little digging but i wish i had gone as deep as you, I'm sure there's more to unravel in this stars tale
I love y’all’s lore prediction videos! I’m so happy to see them for ffxiv because the devs prolly will actually have consistent themes that can be predicted
also Elidibus did say he saw us in Elpis before sending us there.
Team Bellular just stomping all over my own Pandaemonium video. I feel so inferior.
It's funny you said Themis reminds you of Alphaniud , because from the 2nd raid on I had that same epiphany.
I definitely think Lahabrea's up to something related to resurrecting Athena in some way – definitely getting some Evangelion "Ikari family" vibes from the whole setup…
Fantastic job, Matt. Thank you for your thoughts and theories. I think you hit the mark.
On the subject of themis, what would you guys feel if the one that he promised to, the one he forgot, is us ?
Fantastic video, great research! One thing I also want to bring up, since you brought up Venat early on RE: the one who made mankind fall, I've seen it said that the FFXII localization turned "Venas/Venus/Benasu" into "Venat" when working on the names of the Occuria. Venus > morning star > Lucifer! Ha ha! But there's plainly lots of room in these sorts of stories for Lucifer-type figures, so I'm perfectly happy to have more of them.
Matt is such a smart mate.
I have even issues following him but he is clearly right.
Wow, someone else remembered Nanoha. I am impressed.
Didn't Elidibus always idolize Azem? I seem to remember a memory from ShB where Elidibus was reaching out to Azem's back, as the OG WoL. I could be misremembering though lol
Awesome video and I'm so glad he had fun researching all of this.
One day I want to see a full document PDF version of all of Matt's ideas and theories he came up with.
Even the scrapped ones!
I feel like it's very likely that the current Lahabrea will die. This is Greek based so tragedy is such an integral part of Greek stories. So I think that the tragedy will be doubly so, a son forced to kill his father. Then our realization that in the future that son who has become our friend will end up losing his mind and following in the footsteps of his father.
This video was great, I loved learning about the Dawn star and Morning star sections. And I know this is a different medium to include but in (DC Universe) the show Lucifer they give him the full name of Lucifer Morningstar.
I'm still convinced the Heart of Sabik is in Pandaemonium somewhere. Lahabread knew the most about it, said it predated the Allagans and even they couldn't figure it out. It's also like the only loose end from the Hydaelyn/Zodiark story.
I think you’ve nailed it Matt. Really makes you think , & I love it.
Matt is having the time of his life with all of these
I agree. After this is all done, we'll have backstories on all three unsundered Ascians and "feel bad for them". Themis is clearly Elidibus and I think the lahabrea we keep hearing about will die, possibly even killed by us and his son will ascend to the seat and then when its done you'll be left thinking damn, this dude we've gotten to know is going to become that villain that died way back in HW.
people tend to forget that the first tier of a raid is always like this, its all setup. The stories are generally quite weak until theyre finished, and we get all the payoffs of what has been established before.. Great to hear your thoughts, Matt! its great to see this kind of video for FF from you guys
Pandaemonium being derived from "Paradise lost" and the previous raid being Eden which has the achievement "Paradise Found".
Had looked into what Pandaemonium was before this video and was surprised to see a connection. Very interested to see what else they do with the raids.
Erich is our lahabrea, calling it now. If the current lahabrea is doing all of this shit he's either not going to get off scot free with the ancients or we're gonna be forced to kill him. Maybe he gets a moment with erich, but in the end he's gonna be poofed. Erich not having magical aptitude is the perfect misdirect and i think working with themis will help his jam get unjangled. That or laha fucked him up to increase the distance between them on purpose.
My theory was to link this to Dante's Inferno.
I too agree that I think Themis = Elidibus…even the voice is the same. Not sure if the same VA or not
