This was early on into my FF14 grind. Overall, the game is just okay. I cannot recommend the game to anyone sadly.
Starting this journey I had three friends I was playing with. Our goal was to meet up weekly and play the game. We would sync at dungeons in the story and progress asynchronously. There were talks that each expansion we would change classes, we might play more once we were all paying, and we were excited to see the story unfold since the games’ story gets praised a bunch.
Unfortunately after the completion of the first expansion, two people dropped out. One person was still playing Post Game for ARR, but they ended up just tapping out.

too bad your friends left ya, the game gets better later on but if youre not enjoying it then thats fair.

This is a world boss with lots of health thats meant for a whole big group of people that go out and hunt them all in order. Unfortunately this is one of the ones that will aggro you if youre lower level so this exact thing is a common occurrence for new players.
The solution is to simply avoid walking in front of it since its vision is likely just a normal frontal cone.
Isnt there a hunt that can spawn right on top of one of the msq quests?
Anytime this happens you can try /shout or /yell for a high level player to come beat up your bully, only takes one person. If no one’s in the zone go to the local city. You’ll always find someone who will help.
