  1. Anima was my favorite Aeon from FFX. I cant wait for the Multi-tiered madness that her fight will be in FFXIV!
Im hopeful for some nods and backstory to her original Incarnation.
    Great video as always!

  2. Yea I dont think garlamald has anything to do with anima if I had to guess I would have to go with fandaniel or zenos. The imperials are more about machines and that. The only I can think of for the imperials to get anima is generate so much aether. But we have never seen them do it on a scale of what the acisans have done. I wont rule out the imperials but I dont think story wise it would make sense. I'm more leaning towards fandaniel

  3. My theory goes more into Anima’s lore in FFX and how they can reference that in FFXIV, which I realize isn’t how references are often played in this game, but Anima was featured in the same part of the reveal showcase as Innocence, meaning it’s probably the penultimate boss of Endwalker. My theory also ties into who Venat is and why we haven’t heard from her before; it just doesn’t make sense to me she wouldn’t attempt to make contact with WoL until now, and with Hydaelyn so weak she can’t speak to us anymore, if Venat was still a part of her I don’t think she would have enough power to even materialize in the way she did at the end of 5.5, let alone be an important enough character to feature in key art. And if Venat was still within Hydaelyn, Hydaelyn shouldn’t need an avatar to speak through. Venat NOT being in Hydaelyn could only add to her weakness.

We know now that Zenos is a Reaper, and as a Reaper, he will have a voidsent avatar. I think Anima is that avatar. I think we may have a co-battle with Zenos and Anima, then the end boss will be another fusion, possibly Zenos and Zodiark, as the theory goes. Now, I don’t think Anima itself is related to Venat, it could be a totally random powerful entity from the Void, or have a deeper existence entirely, but several things occurred to me when I decided this had to be the case: we don’t know who Zenos’s mother was, all we know is that she “wasted away and died” when he was very young, and Venat… well, she looks to me like she could be Zenos’s mother.

Since Emet-Selch has proven it’s possible for Ascians—or unsundered Ancients, to be more specific—are able to live normal human lives within their borrowed bodies and have families, obviously the same should be possible for Venat. If Venat had withdrawn from Hydaelyn in a way similar to Elidibus, perhaps to attempt her own way of fighting back, I think it would have been possible for one of the unsundered to find a way to capture her, or force some sort of memory loss, similar to when the sundered are reborn. She could have been used as a pawn, and I definitely don’t think that’s a secret any of the unsundered would have divulged. It would also go farther in explaining Zenos’s strength and abilities. Sure, his great-grandfather was an unsundered, but if his MOTHER was the heart of one of the very first primals? I think that would explain his strength better. And that could also be why even Varis thought of him as a monster. He could have discovered later the truth about Venat, his son, that it all furthered the Ascians’ plans, and it could have broken him. He seems extremely weary and broken to me, like he only half-believes in the BS he’s spewing, and he knows very well how badly Black Rose can get out of hand. I don’t think he cared about rejoinings so much as he cared about annihilation.

    But that’s just me.

Back to Venat, I also believe she’s the “dreamer” Fandango mentioned at the end of 5.5. Alternatively, the dreamer is Zenos’s mother, who is not also Venat, or just Venat who is not also Zenos’s mother. I came to this possibility based on Anima’s lore. Zenos and Seymour are actually quite similar. Both are obsessive, sociopathic, and nihilistic. Seymour wished to merge with Sin. The process to create Anima required his mother to be put into a state of neverending slumber, to *dream*. This could also be why Venat seemed so weak and unable to materialize in front of us. She seemed like she was struggling just to get the message through. Perhaps another reason she needed to be made to “dream deeper”. Like I said, how that could relate directly to Anima being a voidsent (assuming Zenos’s form of Reaper uses the same rules as ours, which has tentatively been stated to be a Death Note-like pact between us and the voidsent), I’m not sure. I can just see so many similarities I can’t stop thinking them!

  4. how about if anime in ff14 is something from the alagan empire like the Diabolus armament? a voidsent encased in a synthetic shell for better control, but that was never used due to being impossible to control and thus sealed away for eons till it was found by one of the legions, most likely the 4th

  5. I like to see where Nomora is hard confirmed as anima's creator other than the fan site because they said that the creator is part of the art team and would we consider Nomora as part of the art team or a guess creator?

  6. I can see that the first half of the battle theme would be a remixed version of "Hymn of the Fayth", quiets down during the ultimate attack cutscene we survive it then starts up a remixed version of "Enemy Attack". Maybe vice versa.
Hell, maybe an original track all together.

  7. Please be warned that with Endwalker now being released and some people finding this that I have seen comments being posted which contain spoilers. Until the end of this month I would appreciate it if you could refrain from posting/replying with any spoilers. Should I find any I will unfortunately have to remove these. This goes for any Endwalker related videos. Thank you for understanding.
