Dude, you're a content creator. You're providing a service of either entertainment or insight, nobody is gonna hold against you if you make a Patreon page and receive compensation for those services. If it's going to help you out and people want to give you money, then there's no reason not to accept it.

i'd have either left or voted to kick him. then reported this. FF14 is usually a great community but there are a handful of bad players.
Most people playing each role are perfectly nice and fine but I have seen many more insufferable toxic power-tripping insecure superiority complex type players playing tank than any other role

If someone takes too many invuln stacks, it's more efficient to let them die to be honest.

Depending on the dungeon the healer could just go tank it themselves. We had our tank DC in an expert and one of the DPS said they were coming back but it was slow so as the healer I was like "I can tank this" and we cleared a boss and the trash to the second boss by the time they got back without losing much time at all.
this tank is so cringe.. the healther is a saint that he/she put up with it for so long.

The Healer did NOTHING wrong! The Tank is a complete *sshole! If you as the Tank are STUPID enough to stand in AOE & get Vuln stacks -"You deserve to die"! If I was the Healer I would have let him die! I would have stopped healing him, PERIOD! This was just plan stupid!

What’s annoying about this is, reading it back, it seems like the tank is an adult and probably a bit of an A-hole. The healer seems quiet and possibly quite young. This is bullying, plain and simple. I wish we knew the name of that tank so we could all blacklist their toxic ass.

I can say I've had this exact experience in ffxiv. was leveling whm and got stone vigil in a roulette. the tank literally refused to dodge any aoe and during the first big pull I attempted to help dps and the tank dies. I asked the tank to dodge the aoe and their response was they don't have to, they're the tank and supposed to get hit. I spent the rest of the run doing nothing but healing the tank, otherwise he would die.
never played wow, but as a SCH sprout nobody gets mad.. they always say its ok and tell me what the mechanics are and help us get through it..
I feel like something is missing from this story. Would love to see the logs and further up in the chat log. After wiping multiple times tensions can run high and you see this kinda thing alot. Very rarely is 1 person as fault.

lol I remember seeing this on reddit earlier, and it’s honestly hard for me to believe this is even real. As someone who regularly plays both tank and healer, I feel secondhand embarrassment for this guy, and I have wonder how the dps put up with him and didn’t have the healer’s back.
my blacklist is full of RMT spammers but not much else. Most of my list is "deleted" back from ARR that I've never gotten around removing from the list haha.

I had a "wonderful" conversation in a another video where the person was ragging on the new rules w/ players. He or she wanted just to be able to abuse people without any consequences. They tried to frame it like they just wanted to tell players how to play the game at endgame.
I was in a level 43 dungeon with a sprout tank that didn't know about aoe. I guess they just skipped the button tooltip. I dunno. Idc. It doesn't matter. We spent about an hour in there. Noone raged. Noone died. Everyone pretty much stood on the tank. Wasn't a great time but I've had far worse in gaming.
That person I was talking about before then ragged on me for being a new player. Refused to listen to any advice or evidence about true rules free chat. Thought every player should be able to clear savage content. Thought everyone that couldn't was a bad player. Thought everything was better in SB before the rules.
It was a giant nothing. He had no incite to add. No nuance to explain. Just barbs to throw at anyone not "good enough" or new. At every corner I caught myself wanting to entrap them in their stupid but I held back. The only thing was, I was a bit sarcastic at times. At the end of it they were just trying to twist my words around to make it sound like I was insulting to the playerbase listing off common raid statistics for completion.
I put my foot down. I told a troll the meanest thing you can say. You bore me. Its exact opposite effect they want to have. Whats funnier, it was obvious that they were liking their own comments out of narcissism. I genuinely asked for tips for UWU, they didn't have a word to say. Except that I'm a shit player XD.
I think SomeOrdinaryGamer says it right, "if you think X, you need to go touch some grass." Or in other words, you need to get away and take a break. If you think its that serious, go outside and deal with real life(get perspective) then come back. Its not that bad.

I had one healer on Amaurot that in the first trash encounter died to the bomb's fixate effect, and then complained that I didn't pick it up and just AFKed asking for an apology when I tried to explain how fixates work and that she should bring it into the pack so the DPS can kill it before it explodes. We just ended up three person clearing to end of the first boss to give her a chance and then kicked for AFK after.

Spawned in Aurum Vale. Didn't even make it through the first room because the Ninja kept pulling mobs and the Tank would then let the Ninja die on principle. But this didn't stop the Ninja. So the Tank was like "Not moving until you leave or stop."… So I eventually ended up eating the penalty because the Tank didn't deserve a penalty for that.
