Eh his opinion comes from a vantage that is completely unique. He's had to do tip top grinds and prep work for WoW raids, while the start of raiding in FFXIV is not as demanding.
Meanwhile older FF players are probably bored of this content cycle/lack of innovation. Some newer players starting fresh get walled by pacing issues. The new players who boost don't get the extravagant experience Scripe has where you can reliably play blind because you have other skilled MMO players. The few blind groups are generally unstable. Trying to raid at any accessible public space requires knowing the fight which is heavily scripted so monotony can build quickly.
I think FFXIV is a great spectacle that you can have a good experience once, but it is not something you can truly "enjoy" especially in an MMO sense.
