FFXIV Character Analysis: Zenos yae Galvus, the Hollow Villain

I also forgot to mention: him being Legatus of the XIIth legion does pay homage to his respective title as is the case with the other Garlean Legati.
(minor FFXII spoilers)
which would be the fact that he killed Varis, his father, and “claimed the throne for himself” (he had no interest in ruling over the empire’s lands but did become the Emperor nonetheless). This is similar to what happened with Vayne Solidor in FFXII. It also acts a double reference, being of course themed after the HRE, which as we know is the main inspiration for Garlemald.

  1. The biggest question I have is why would he team up with Fandaniel. But will probs get an answer to that in Endwalker. I think he is a good character, but I want a little more back story to understand him better.
