  1. i think when unlock everything, island becomes kinda boring, u can have fun for just few days, i think they should add customization, would be nice if we were able to place some furniture, if we had home which we could decorate e.t

  3. don't let other people try to tell you how to enjoy the game! I'm actually surprised some people go as far as harassing you cause you do content in a different way from what they do. That's so silly. I'm just grinding out the island stuff as well cause i love getting those upgrades and am always hoping to upgrade my cozy cabin lol. But anyways, nice video and don't listen to these people spreading their misery!

  4. Honestly that reaction people had is the reason I hate this game's community, you either one of us or you are wrong, love this game, I have over 14k hours, but holy crap til this day I can't stand people.
Great guides and videos honestly, felt like I had some company hitting that roadblock too ♥

  5. Leave it to (some of) the XIV community to bring others' harmless fun down in the opposite way of the norm. So many creepy zealots in the space lol. It's cliche advice but just always keep it in mind that no one has the right to force you to believe you're not having fun when you actually are. "You're not allowed to have fun in a different way from me!" That's some creepy mentally ill vibes. I'm old enough to not give a damn about what others like to do in a game, as long as it isn't against ToS (specifically for online gaming). For almost 20yrs, I never gave a damn about whether or not I experienced all the content in an MMORPG. Didn't need to do every raid (or any really) if I didn't care or need to for some requirement for what I actually want to do.

You wanna cheat or use easy mode stuff in a single player? Go right ahead. If it looks fun, I might join you. You wanna speed through content that isn't intended to be? Go right ahead. It'll help me contemplate if it's worth my time. People just need to stop being unnecessarily controlling of others views on what they harmlessly have fun with. It's like they think every form of content is fun no matter how old it is or how often you do it. As though you rushing to the end of the current form of the island and possibly moving on until future updates is going to be any different for them when they get to that point soon and move on until future updates lol.

  6. Man, ignore them. You do you. If you enjoy optimization, then optimize away. One person’s idea of fun is different than someone else’s and it’s totally their problem and not yours. I’m glad you made these videos. Now get some sleep. 🙂

  7. Successful people will always have haters, you a champ and the real MVP. Love your videos man, don't let the sallies pull you down, having that many haters just means you are doing that much better ^^.

  8. At the beginning of my first playthru of Stardew Valley I enjoyed discovering the game for myself, but once I unlocked Preserving Bins I had a thirst for min-maxing. I spent a lot of time on the wiki and figured out the efficiency breakpoints for all the processing tools and became a millionaire very quickly. For me, the fun was amplified by learning how to maximize my time and then implementing that knowledge.

  9. Love how you get flying after opening the last area, which takes hours, and we got told we would get flying "early on", I think I have a different idea of what early on means to the Devs 😂

  10. Okay, did not expect to make this random comment, but here I go.
Quick warning, this might get a little ranty. I'm sorry for the word vomit, but this isn't the first time I've seen people talk about this, and I need to unshoulder some irritation I have on topic.

The way I see it, there is a type of people that really enjoy managing an entire system run by small, yet automated processes. I am one of those people. And for that, some of my lifetime favorite games are Satisfactory and classic RTS games like Stronghold Crusader, which have this system built into their core. I would also argue that survival games are similar to Island Sanctuary, except subtracting the "survival" aspect.
Our minds can work in much the same way when it comes to I.S. People need to realize that wanting to completely rush a sytem to completion is actually a valid way to enjoy that system, as much as any other playstyle. Otherwise, entire game genres would not have flourished as they have. There is no one way to enjoy anything, let alone Island Sanctuary. And the people who say otherwise honestly need to think for a moment on their opinions before jumping onto such asinine notions.

TL;DR: Play however the hell you want. If it makes you happy, no other opinion should matter.

  11. You unlock flying by upgrading everything and opening the last open spot.
There saved you the ranting of this guy caring about youtube/twitch comments he should not give a shit about.

  12. I think your methods are perfectly fine! Everyone plays the game differently! One of your videos actually helped me shift my priorities on my island. Even though I am not going 'whole hog' and optimizing. I am finding your point of view very helpful! You do you! And I thank you for it!

  13. Hey there cool video, im still lost on the how u got the flying part. What is the actual requirements to have that flying unlocked? is it gated to level 10 only as well? Appreciate the help and keep up the good content

  14. Just ingnore people who are telling you are not having fun. They are just being the fun police. Everyone has fun differently. They are not you . If you want to turn your Island into a business and have fun that way then go ahead. What matters if its fun for you or not.

  15. Cole thank you for these videos. I missed getting into the Island on day 1 so here i sit at 530 am Sunday morning. Grinding out the last 4000 xp needed to hit rank 10. Yes some of us enjoy grinding the hell out of the content when it is given to us whether or not it is aimed at casual play or not.

  16. The final tool and mammet quest unlocked at level 9 for me, so it seems to be specifically linked to whether or not you have both the pasture and cropland at tier 3. I did and was able to make the tool send the Mark V out to clear the last area right away (after selling some leavings for the last blue cowries I needed). Clearing the land awarded 3,280 exp, which is a nice chunk toward level 10. I also started construction of the lighthouse.
