In this video I discuss the swan song of both 1.x and 2.x, Patch 2.5 Before The Fall. This patch is great from a storytelling standpoint, and near flawlessly ties up the stories of 1.0, 2.0, and the Seventh Astral Slog.

Still one of my favourite scenes is the last few cutscene. worth getting through all those quests to get to it. it really stuck with me, and it got me super hyped for heavensward
I've been leveling an alt and just finished 2.5 this morning. Perfect timing for your video.
That "spire" in Keeper of the Lake is the Agrius, the massive battleship the Garlean Empire invaded Silvertear Lake with before the events for 1.0. It was destroyed in battle by Midgardsormr, but the cerulean tanks inside went off when it crashed and "killed" him while his body was still wrapped around it. When you scale the top of the structure in the last part of the instance, you're actually climbing up on his body. Everyone thought he was dead when really he was just hibernating
The end of ARR is truly breathtaking. I was literally afraid to enter Ul'dah for a while after I'd first experienced it. So immersive and engaging!
Why did I not leave this comment when I first found this video and your channel?
As a veteran player, I always find it si interesting to hear the views of newer players to the game after different nerfs and quality of life updates have taken place. A good example, you said that you liked the Steps of Faith trial. I-and a lot of ARR vets-still find that trial extremely traumatizing, even though it's not anywhere near as bad as it was upon release anymore.
Love your content dude, keep up the good work. ^_^
