  1. Well if a DPS stand in sh*t there's a high chance they will live, however the vurnability stack or follow up attack will probably be deadly. Healing especially at high levels can't keep up with the incoming damage if you keep eating the avoidable stuff. Sure a healer can push quite significant numbers if required, but that requires cooldowns which might be needed elsewhere. Most bosses are pretty forgiving in story content thou, but there's quite a few bosses especially after heavensward(stormblood and beyond) that will do "avoidable AoE" into the unavoidable AoE and unless the healer spots you and instantly heal you up, you just roll over… I've had DPS just die in less then 0.5 sec because they ate two abilities in quick succession or even just one with a few vurnability stacks. Heck even I as a healer have died because i was slacking off, even when trying my best to spam heal myself with instants. In raid, well… DPS who stand in stuff might die because healers will prioritize tanks and their raid healing duties, if we have time for 2-3 heals before the massive AoE or stack mechanic, there's no time to spot heal DPS:ers especially since as healers we also have to move from mechanics etc.

Not to mention many bosses cause nasty debuffs, such as paralysis, poisons, burns, bleeds, freezes or dmg down. Sure Esuna works for the most part, but even if It's a 0.5 sec cast it eats a global which could be spent on other stuff. It's better to just learn to be observant since many bosses have visual/audio queues and won't telegraph or it will be so quick you can't avoid it if you wait untill the ground glows…

There's bosses in Endwalker that simply deals about 80% of a none-tank players hp in dmg with the abilities and have unavoidable AoE's which deal about 40%(more with vurnability stacks, Heck I've seen tanks who don't migtate with vurnability stacks on them just instantly roll over from tank busters). The strongest AoE heal spells heal about 10k(crit) with pre-raid BiS, while players have 40-50k hp 🤔… That's about 1,5 heals to heal up the unavoidable stuff. Single target heals are a tad bit stronger, but outside of Adloqoium crits(They can heal upwards to 35k or so), It's still at least 2-3 casts to bring someone back up from the brink. That's alot of DPS wasted, even if healers really ain't as great DPS as they used too be(mostly because we spend more time healing in Endwalker, which is a welcome change).

  2. Dont worry guys he will learn to move out of shit when he learns that he will get a stacking DMG Down debuff when he fails mechanics (i.e not moving out of stuff) and he basically becomes useless to the team :D.

I personally make a habit out of not healing ppl who farm "fun stacks" out of lazyness bc they are uselsss to the group and a waste of my mana :D.
He will notice it when the healers "auto attacking" the boss do more dmg than him 😀

  3. Nope sorry have to disagree with you on this Accolonn. Most raids, especially high end content, if DPS are just camping inside avoidable damage, they are a liability NOT a bonus. That taxes not only the healers but the tanks as well. Its a drain plain and simple. Some Expert Roulettes its not that big of a deal but if you start doing that in say Savage/Ultimate/Extreme content don't be surprised if the static lead kicks you.🤣🤣🤣

  5. Every time you get hit by a boss in a dungeon you get a Vulnerability stack, have 4 or 5 of those any normal attack from the boss can kill you. After you're raised the first time you get -25% dps penalty, 2+ time -50% dps. In MSQ dungeon you can get away with this, but you will notice the difference once you are in Extreme or Savage. In Extreme you maybe ok with 2 stacks of Vulnerability, in Savage 1 is max if you don't get one shot. For magic DPS, you will pretty much die the moment you get hit.

In Savage, especially right after release, it's very hard to hit dps check if a few people die. 1) Everyone who died deal 25-50% less damage. 2) the extra healing and raise 'significantly' reduces dps from Healer.

A typical, average, parse for roles in a party assuming everyone is doing their job.
    DPS 19-23k
    Tank 15-17k
Healer (varies a lot depends on if anyone dies), 15-17k

So yes, everyone is a dps.

  6. The secret behind a good troll is to make it seem like it was not a troll but serious. Considering this was meant as a joke, a very sarcastic joke. I will throw you all a bone here, this is my humour, so before you get angry, think. Peace and love boys and girls.

  7. ARR and Heavensward was built around the idea that DPS doing a majority of the damage, and healers only healing, but healers would contribute damage to help get through fights faster. Fights now are balanced to take into account that the healer will contribute to the DPS output. Still, the expectation of healers is to heal, so their kit has only a few DPS abilities.

  8. This comment section is so funny. I choose to believe you all did the big 5head move and typed all your comments sarcastically. Trying to all sound like mentors.

Unless you are all mentors, in which case my god I feel sorry for Ac.

Your regulars in the chat had no idea of sarcasm and cautiously tried to agree with your terrible advice, Lmao.

  10. Yo this guy is tripping. That's what happens when you try to sit on 2 chairs at the same time, but you are not even qualified for one. Within 40 seconds I realized that you don't know 14. Everything you said was fucking wrong. Reply sarcasm all you want in the comments. You have no idea. You are fucking clueless. The only similarity you do have with trolls is that you look like one…

  11. sarcasm is intensely cultural. i've noticed that american sarcasm relies on a change in tone of voice or hints that you're not being serious. british sarcasm relies on the absurdity of the proposition compared to the context of the situation– something that doesn't fly with americans because most of the time when they say something absurd, they mean it. for example: "hey let's revolt against the british king and start our own nation! start by throwing the tea overboard!" americans find british sarcasm hard to read, and british find american sarcasm too "oversold" or low-brow. I guess south-african sarcasm relies on trying to sound as sincere as possible, and following up the proposition with explanation much in the same way you provide explanations for other propositions in your other videos.

  13. If you cant DPS in FF14 its okay, remember FF14 is the only game so "hard core" that streamers receive death threats from their "amazing" community if they so much as get caught with a DPS tracker installed. Because apparently that's basically a war crime in the eyes of FF14 players… ya know, cus their raiding sean is sooo much more hard core then wow, eso or gw2 (at least that's what FF14 fanboys keep saying)
