  1. Remove the mana cost. And make it to where when broken. It makes it so tbn becomes a new skill . Giving you a heal. Could adjust the heal or make the skill copy the logic of essential dignity

  2. I feel like Dark Mind should give you 10% resistance to ALL damage + 10% Lifesteal (meaning 10% of all damage you do returns to you as Health) and TBN's shield should last significantly longer and maybe give a damage buff while its live, as well as healing you when it breaks.

  3. Paladin is better at targeted party protection than DRK, every other tank is better at self healing, DRK sucks against any boss that deals physical mainly, and none of the skills feel cool. Like esteem is okay, but dark knight should be like the "health as a damage resource" class or capable of self healing so they can spend health to do things as a tank.

  4. I just finished lvling DRK, which was extremely painful, then did an Expert dungeon roulette, I have never considered leaving mid dungeon till that expert, DRK was frustrating to play in Endwalker but was still passable and enjoyable at times, but now in DT, I can't stand it anymore. I no longer have an item set saved for it and do not plan on playing it for the rest of the expansion unless it gets a rework. I hope more people start speaking out about how bad DRK has gotten, especially when compared to the other tanks, its inexcusable at this point.

  5. Honestly, I want to take whomever is in charge of class balance to redirect their head to another game that has 6 tank specs….wow.

Literally look at them and then decide wtf is Dark Knight gonna be. Cause discount fucking warrior is not it.

  6. I think the problem DRK has defensively (besides self-sustain) is how situational everything feels. You've got a lot of buttons, but its all so specific, and almost all their buttons do ONE thing. Oh, 10% mit to you or ally. 10% party mit, but only magic. 25% shield, that's it.

Compare that to other tank mits.

HOC: Mitigation AND a shield AND excog.
Shake it Off: Party-wide shield AND Cure AND regen.
    Intervention: Mitigation AND regen

DRK just feels like it's been left behind while everyone else has been getting extra stuff in their mitigation.

Its not even like their mitigation is stronger as a result of being 1 note. Oblation is 10% mit on a single target on 2 charges. Intervention is up to 30% mitigation AND a regen on (up to) 2 charges.

Definitely think a full rework is justified at this point.

  7. Ngl i feel like they need to give drk knight a ranged combo using yhe power of…. Darkness that can regenerate mana and they can map it to dark mind like that dark mind is useful. Give tbn a upgrade and call it the darkest night make it cost no mana and it when it doesnt proc it gives you a flat heal/hot and also still give your fod/eod
Also give oblition a buff in dmg reduction since youd change dark mind gg ez

  8. Dark missionary is awful too, 30% group magic mitigation. Every other tanks aoe mits heal, apply shields apply regen or something awesome. Dark knight can mitigate 1/3 of the dmg in the game lol…… ngl I love Dark. But not this exp pallys my favorite cuz it's got everything. Dark is missing to much and it's got dated skils and abilities

  9. L take on TBN.
tanks need to be all different otherwise it’s the exact same damn tank.
DRK needs to be harder to play, higher ceiling cap, dmg
Warrior needs to be lowest, braindead class

  10. I had to laugh last night as DRK in everkeep extreme. Everyone died except me and the paladin so we finished off the last few %. However I had to living dead and we killed him before I had done enough damage so after the boss’ cinematic death. I just …. Died lol

  11. Omg i know how to fix TBN!

    Change to 30sec cooldown.
At the end or shield break you get dark arts.
If shield breaks before timer, the cooldown is reduced by 15.

Also ffs combine carve and AD like they did SAM's shota.

  12. Honestly I hate TBN. I do like that it is unique and different to the other tank cooldowns, but I wish it wasn't a DPS loss if it didn't break at least. You can literally mindlessly throw the other short cooldowns on yourself or the other tank to help them absorb auto attack damage and there's almost no downside (outside of using it right before you need to take a tankbuster), but if you mistime TBN (OR, you or the other tank are so tanky that your shield doesn't even break because your gear is too high level), you lose 3k MP. It's made worse by the fact that DRK gets less MP now that blood weapon is only three stacks, so I find it can be very punishing it mess it up.

My complaint is basically a skill issue, but TBN feels pretty weak compared to the other short cooldowns. At least DRK gets two stacks of Oblation which is nice.

  13. it's a shame bc DRK has such a cool ascetic. I've only played since shb but the old dark arts systems looked so cool. Even if it isn't the exact same, it would be nice to try. Let's pray they rework DRK.

  14. during m1s, dark knight effectively has one less mit because this fight is very very heavy on physical damage, i main tanked it once and suffered so much, but idk how much was my healers just not giving a rat's ass lmao

  15. What was the thought process in making dark knight just a shitty warrior? Either make them unique or make them the same.

Well, I guess dark knight is unique in being the worst tank.

EDIT: youtube deleted this comment, so here's to hoping it sticks this time.

  16. They should honestly just make Raw Intuition a tank role ability for all tanks at level 45 at this point. Kill 2 birds with one stone. Fixes dark knight self sustain. All tanks can now self sustain in Dzemael Darkhold and Aurum Vale.

  17. Possible dumbass opinion incoming: I kinda like how weird TBN (and DRK) is in general, but I do agree that it needs a tad more to it. So without trying to rework DRK entirely (I'm not equipped for that), let me just say what I would be happy to see in a patch. And feel free to discuss, I'm just spitballing here (this is assuming a lvl 90 DRK at least AND the fact that I like DRK to still be weird):

    – If TBN shield breaks, gain Dark Arts — DARK ARTS HAS A NEW EFFECT. Now, you gain 3x stacks of Dark Arts.
    – Using EoD/FoD will consume all 3x stacks and land a guaranteed crit.
    – Using Bloodspiller or Quietus will consume 1x stack of Dark Arts. For each stack, restore HP at 400 potency.
    – If the TBN shield does NOT break, you get a new effect that lasts for 10 seconds. Weaponskills and spells restore 200 MP for this duration.
    – When TBN either breaks or expires in a party member, heal for 25% HP.

    – Casting EoD/FoD when below 50% MP restores HP at 200 potency. (Only works if Darkside is active)
    – Salted Earth restores HP at 120 potency every two ticks of damage. (Only works if Darkside is active)
    – Abyssal Drain can now restore MP per enemy hit.
    – Carve and Spit now restores HP at 400 potency — this effect only works if Darkside is active.

The idea: for TBN to still be a weird ability that requires proper use but it gives you way more in exchange for its occasional inconsistencies and its MP cost (particularly when running dungeons where it can be harder to predict). You're still punished for messing it up, but not as much, and you're GREATLY rewarded for doing it right, which is at the heart of DRK (living on the edge, no pun intended). Also, giving DRK some more self-sustain FINALLY — not to the level of Warrior since you'd have more conditionals and some of it locked at much higher levels, but enough that you'd feel more resilient and powerful without greatly changing our known rotation and abilities.
