  2. This is a good year for Ruri. He had a near meltdown about gun lances getting no love in Monhun rise, then next title update gives love to Gunlance. Ruri then gives a long rant about paladins, then paladins getting love next patch. Ruri should just rant about stuff he loves more often. Though wow is a lost cause.

  3. I don't think that Scarmeglione comes back unless they pull a McGuffin and undo what they did. Is he dead? No, but eternal imprisonment is probably worse for a deathless being. So it's either Rubicante (fire dude) or Cagnazzo (water dude) and I think Cagnazzo might be next.

And yes, we need a rolloer coaster for island. We need Theme Park Island.

  4. So are they going to bridge the gap between 2.0 content and Heavensward? It’s a heck of a jolt to be happily soloing the MSQ, finish ARR and suddenly be faced with 4 hard mode trials to progress.

  5. As a former SAM player, I have this bit of advice to give paladins:

Paladins, fear the rework. You cannot trust them not to make the class fundamentally unfun. I'm still bitter.

Edit: that's to say, enjoy the current way it is, while it's still around. I don't know how paladin plays currently, but I'd imagine it has to be some semblance of fun otherwise you wouldn't enjoy it. And I know firsthand that it's not just the unfun classes that get reworked 9:

  6. How much time do most people spend with their families? I feel like I spend a day or two with the family, and maybe a day with friends. Other than that I just relax through the holidays, or pick up shifts nobody wants.

I'm hopeful but nervous about the paladin changes… I enjoy it now, but hopefully the changes just make it better. If not, I'll save tomes to build a DRK or GNB relic.

Eureka DD sounds sweet! This is probably the patch feature I'm most hyped for.

  7. Yeah, the only reason to do Deep Dungeons alone is to get the special titles. Otherwise you should be doing it in a group. I do find soloing more fun though, even if it's more trouble.

  8. map gimmicks are annoying because it distracts from the actual strategy and fundamentals of the game and instead focuses you on exploiting said gimmick. It's why Heroes of the Storm always felt so wrong. Imagine playing chess and the rules changed depending on the tournament location. Gimmicks disenfranchise the development of higher-level, long-term, fundamental strategy.

  9. I'm terrified of the PLD changes. They've been really hard stuck on this 2 minute burst meta and I really don't want PLD to just be WAR/DRK but holy skill themed. Tanks are already threatening to be too similar in playstyle, if they keep up in that direction it may as well be "pick your favorite colored particle effects" rather than choosing a class. They're on a comparable footing right now with other tanks so I don't know what they can do that is really going to improve things from here beyond pruning or updating shield bash/cover.
