Agree with mosta your list buuuuut I was shook I actually loved Ninja but thats cuz its basically red mage TWO and is quasi-ranged.
Also I loved Warrior once I hit 70 like its not Gunbreaker but its the only tank with HUGE damage lol you can beat 10 seconds of d-crits!
Always funny to see how widely preferences can range. I main PLD and BLM, second MNK, RDM, SAM, and enjoy NIN, DRG, and the other Tanks well enough. Healers can be fun but I tend not to play them near at all, and I frankly hate BRD/DNC though MCH is fun I just never play it either. Keep up the great work on videos!
I hope earthly star gets the axe. I miss when ast was a more reactive healer. Me and proactive dont mix well
Hearing that you like SMN a lot, I hope you're still gonna like it after Endwalker. There was a MrHappy (I think) interview with Yoshi-P where he got a vague "I think SMN's going to get changed" answer. So it kinda sounds like EW is going to definitely change AST, most likely change SMN, and I think probably change BRD even if it's just some DPS buffs.
I'm gonna fight you on GNB! (not really, but it's my least favorite tank by a lot)
I main DRK/MCH. I really went into picking jobs semi-blind when I returned with the trial, at least in terms of which ones I thought I'd like/dislike. I hadn't played since HW, so even jobs I was familiar with (basically WAR, PLD, DRK cause I like tanking) were very different. But I wound up liking DRK a ton when I got it unlocked, and I'd been interested in MCH as a DPS alt purely because I heard it could summon a mech and stuff. Little did I know MCH and DRK are the "weave in your combos as much as you can" jobs but I also love that aspect of their gameplay.
That's actually why I hate GNB so much. Playing it just feels like they took WAR, somehow made it even simpler to play, but took out the fun of Inner Release critical spam. Like every aspect of GNB to me just feels like they copied pieces from DRK/PLD/WAR, but none of the cool ones.
I'm not omni-80 yet, and I don't even have NIN/DRG/SCH/SMN's base jobs at 30 to unlock them, but I do at least have an 80 tank, melee, physical ranged, and magical ranged. I'm actually working on omni-80 tanks, with PLD the last to go, and loving that one almost as much as DRK even though the playstyle is really different. Overall though, I keep finding myself going back to MCH for DPS in general, and it and DRK are the jobs I'm actually getting bozja relics for. Healers I'm not sure on, because I kinda feel like learning AST now would be a waste for me when it's going to get reworked in EW, so I might just wait with Sage. I've tried leveling WHM and it's just not very fun for me at 54.
I don't like EW as an abbreviation so I'm suggesting ENW
