  2. i'm really happy you're doing this series because honestly i could listen to you talk about basically anything in ffxiv for hours? which is what i get to do here lol. especially whenever im crafting/gathering i like to have it popped out in the corner. i also appreciate your insight for the dungeons i haven't unlocked yet (i am a serial blue quest hoarder…)

    by the way, may i ask what music starts playing at 19:45? it sounds familiar but i can't remember if i've heard it/where i heard it

  3. I'll edit this as I watch more
    –I have a weird fondness for Dusk Vigil after levelling in it so many times. I love the atmosphere of the first area, and the gryphon is fun.
    –my main memory of sohm Al is two separate runs where the healer got popped by the first big mechanic of the last boss
    –i literally forgot the vault existed. But, now that I'm reminded of it, it wasn't half bad.
    –GGL can go to hell. Healer or tank do a dumb on the first boss? Wipe. Final boss is just hellish for melee too. He can take a mdps and just. Prevent uptime. For an entire cycle of mechanics. And then do it again.

  5. Don't hate me, Wesk, but I like Nevereap… it's a great way to knock out the Level 60 dungeon task in Wondrous Tales by doing it unsynced, my Level 80 Reaper breezed easily through it. The path is completely linear and the bosses are a joke at Level 80. If you do it MINE, yes, it does stink, but speedrunning it is fun. 🙂

  7. Gubal hard is my favourite dungeon in the whole game (maybe in part because of the Strix fight). Apart from that, I did like almost all HW dunfeons (if you ignore Dullbreaker and Neverreap (even though I hate neverreap less than Dzemael or Copperbell))

Also, one thing Wesk… if you do intend to extend "Your First Day" into Endwalker, don't create those videos until AFTER 6.1, because everyone is still busy going through MSQ(not me right now, gotta get those last collectables for Livin' off the Land IV) and whatnot and post-game stuff won't happen until after it's time for 7.0, once the new raids are added in. You could probably do the DoH/DoL stuff but I think the Endwalker version will be the shortest yet as it's not necessary – I managed to get to Level 90 in Botanist just by farming collectables in Thavnair and am almost Level 86 in Miner just from farming SHADOWBRINGERS collectables. Fur Daddy and Desperius also state that you can power-level all your Disciples of Hand to Level 90 by Level 81 Levequests alone due to how cheap the materials are in the market, just macro-craft the items.

    Eager to see when this goes down. Your First Day series helped me get through every expansion and I am eager to see how it goes. How about changing the title too, like into "Your First Time?"
