As a Veteran and what most players/friends will tell you, take your time reading thru the story, enjoy the Blue Icon Side quests, raids, alliance raids, etc.
But most importantly, don't feel rushed. 🙂
Bring back the choco taco
There won’t be spoilers since you don’t know the context
They won't confirm the first new job until October, but it's probably pirate-themed. Then we'll have to wait until January to see the full trailer and find out the second new job (all that has been confirmed so far is that one will be melee dps and the other will be magic dps).
Until then we'll have people fighting and making up crackpot theories about Yoshi-p's t-shirt during the keynote address and what job it could indicate.
Personally, my expectation is that the longer trailer we get in October will show him take the cloak off during the fight, and possibly continue fighting with a pistol in his other hand.

Been playing ffxiv since A Realm Reborn, and love every second of it. As a tip get a good friend to play with you and a veteran player that can help both of you through without being overwhelmed by everything this game has to offer.
