The FFXV collaboration event is returning to Final Fantasy XIV Online!
In this video I give a brief overview of the event, including the requirements to participate in the event. As a summary, if you have not already completed the MSQ “The Ultimate Weapon,” then you may want to start working on the MSQ as soon as possible, as one of the requirements is to have this MSQ completed!
I also go through the different rewards, how they are obtained, and tips for collecting MGP, which is required to obtain some of the event rewards.

Finally, the r/FFXV discord is probably screaming right now
I hope free trail players can participate in the event
I hate that the mount needs MGP. I only have 158000, and I won't have enough to get the mount before the end of the event. I should have saved my MGP from Make it Rain…
Update #2: The playthrough video is now up!
Update #1: I am currently just waiting for the HD version to finish processing on YouTube, and then my playthrough of the event will be up. I will also have a summary video talking about the details of the event, including the locations of the Ironworks Hands (I have an image of the locations in the playthrough video), in the next few days, as the playthrough itself is long (nearly an hour).

Hello, everyone! My new playthrough video of the FFXIV x FFXV collaboration event will not be up until tomorrow (Sept. 14). I only just finished recording it, as I worked earlier today and couldn't record it, a) before work, and b) earlier in the day because… well, I was working. XD
The event is a longer one, roughly 45-60 minutes (if you actually read the text
), and thus editing will take around 2 hours (at least), and uploading at least another hour…. etc. Basically: I don't have the time tonight to edit/upload, etc. because I'll need to get to bed before then.
If you are interested in seeing how the event plays out, I do have the 2019 playthrough of it, and nothing much has changed; The only thing that is "new" is the "replay" feature, which will only be accessible to those that have completed the event before.
In the NEW playthrough video, I will have some tips for earning MGP (most of which are the same as what I recommended doing during the Make it Rain Campaign not too long ago), but as a summary:
Gold Saucer Challenge log entries.
GATEs
Mini-Cactpot (three tickets per day)
Jumbo Cactpot (three tickets, with the draw on Saturday – at least in North America)
Fashion report — no effort, easy 10,000 MGP; a little more effort, much more MGP.
Don't forget your MGP reward buffs (FC and consumable; Note: the FC and consumable do not stack).
hey- I'm a new free trial player and can confirm that you can definitely do this event on the free trial. Thanks for the video- it was helpful
