  1. "Estinien", you mean Foulques but worse(in ARR anyway. Obviously Estinien has had more time since then. I started as a Lancer so I still hate Estenien, but he is objectively better written at this point due to having more time on screen)

  2. Important. When you start doing your own leapy kickies always make sure your twinkle toes touch ground outside the AOE before it goes off or you'll get transformed into a floor tank.

  3. So, historically speaking, French dragoons were horse-mounted musketmen. In Final Fantasy, however, it was early localization's attempt to shorten "dragon knight," as Japanese often uses less characters for bigger words. So the reason they can Jump Good is because the original Dragon Knight/Dragoon was a knight who could fight on par with a dragon, including in the sky.

  4. If you want a way to deal with your Frustration wait till you get into Foundation and pick up the Dark Knight quest. Im not saying this because im a DRK main, But rather because its hands down the best class questline in the game and well the DRK quest voices alot of the things you are saying.

  5. Yeah, doing job quests is always funny because they're written with the assumption that your current job is the only job the WoL knows. Like some asshole will show up and start causing problems, and it's just like "Y'know I could just swap my job stone to my main job that is like 20 levels higher, clean up this whole mess right now? No? I'm not a high enough level in this job to fight them? Alright then." Like I get why, would be almost impossible to write the job quest stories with that level of potential path variations, but I would love for just once for someone to start shit and then we just change jobstones and smash them into the core of the earth then and there lol.

  6. Little note: Coerthas is far easier to pronounced than you think. Cur-thus. Cur is pronounced exactly like the word "Cur" (curl without the L), and the "th" is pronounced like in the word "think." Why is it pronounced like this? Because a LOT of Ishgardian things are pronounced as if they were French names. The name "Fortemps" is pronounced like "for Tom." It's weird.

  7. Yaaa I like ff14 gameplay alot but there's a ton of bs missions and hardly any voice acting. Big turn offs. One point fighting gods and dragons and then picking up flowers and balloons 😅😢

  8. Of course you're doing an exorcism in Gridania. That forest is fucking haunted. No other region is bending over backwards for the stewards of the land, only Gridania, and it's because that forest is magic Chernobyl.

  9. It's kinda ironic, that 'Pole Dancing' move that asshole of a lancer was doing, was actually one of the original Lancer/Dragoon Moves from 2.0, specifically part of their AOE combo back then… when TP was an issue as well.

  10. Foulques falling of a cliff might be somewhat anticlimactic, it, however, is fits perfectly with the story told in the lancer questline. Ywain always talks about how important courage is for lancers and that lancers' courage is based in resolve and composure. Foulques claims he has a better way, instead using bavado and anger. And in the end he dies panicking, his anger and bravado shattered, his resolve and composure failing him. Proving his way inferior to Ywain's/yours.
