Yea if you didn't finish eden you didn't get the gaia scene (like my playthrough). As for "green mage" the closest thing that comes to mind for me is Geomancer from Tactics
Theres speculation that the new character is a female Hrothgar.
I think the patch content suffered a bit because it didn't have an A and B plot like previous expansions. HW, SB and ShB all had the benefit of wrapping up previous stories while setting up new ones (like finishing the fight with Nidhogg while setting up the WoDs for ShB). EW patches were pretty much all about setting up a future expac.
If it is a Green Mage job, not sure how they'd handle it as they are traditionally a buffer/debuffer type job.
It took a while for them to land this plane, but I'm glad they did! The destination was well worth it. Glad you guys enjoyed it a lot! It was a pleasure watching. It's going to be pain waiting for Dawntrail, but at least we'll get a little more in 6.55!
Also a fun little tidbit, I picked the option asking Gaia if she lost her memory again and she basically said, "relax, I'm just messing with you!" The option you guys picked is definitely more fun, but I also liked seeing Gaia's sense of humor peek out a bit and wanted to share since I didn't get to see the other option until this video. 😀
I will say after doing the story and finishing it, I kinda waited to see how much you would enjoy the new story and ending

@7:14 you're missing one big option. One referring to the HW Warring Triad trial series & ShB Role Quests, which you both have to finish for. I'm mentioning it 'cause I just think it's a shame that you're missing it since I don't think you'll play it unless someone lets you know! Something really, really cool and kinda big for the lore.
BTW. I literally lost my mind when Gaia appeared! I was already overjoyed with Unukalhai and Cylva being mentioned! So dope! haha

Fun fact: Dataminers dug out the mystery character's model from the code… and it's just legs. That's it. It stops at the waist. That's literally all there is to the mystery character. It's amazing. People have been using the datamined legs for silly things now, because of course, but yeah. Looking forward to seeing the completed character model in the future.
Out of curiosity, have there been any plans to go back and do things you may have missed in your initial playthrough during this downtime in the game or will you simply be focusing on other games in the meanwhile (unless you have been on your streams and just haven't made videos of it, in which case this question can be dismissed)?
