  1. I Don't know if anyone has said it before, but the reason it's written as "eScape" is because this is the raid fight against Omega, his Raids are broken into Deltascape, Sigmascape, and Alphascape. The song title is highlighting the pun in the name. The most impressive thing, either intentional or accidental, Is that this raid series (Alphascape) boss battles are a bit of a sentence just missing some preposition words: "Battle" (or) "eScape" (the) "Heartless" "From the Heavens"

  2. Ill admit im not the biggest fan of eScape myself, though i can see why people like it (and its great in a long fall!),as far as primals performances go,I dont remember if youve seen the Rise performance yet,THAT one is an absolute joy to watch for a very specific reason that anyone that has seen it knows.

Also,as far as other versions of ffxiv tracks go,I really hope you get the chance to revisit To the Edge later but as its orchestral arrangement,as the arrangement of it carries a whole different feeling compared to the original.

  3. Now that you've heard eScape, it's worth going back to A Long Fall where you can hear parts of this song mixed in (it's all tied in to story beats being brought back, with the Omega stuff being part of it).

As for the capitalised 'S', I believe it's related to the raid series itself which takes part in an alternate dimension split into 3 areas – Deltascape, Sigmascape, and Alphascape – and is just tying into that naming theme

  4. The reason why this is so catchy is because Soken wanted to make this into a sea shanty, bc the context has a little bit to do with an entity traversing the sea of stars. A sea shanty for a sea farer. But they also wanted it to be high energy, so they took sea shanty-esque lyrics and melody and put it to rock music, and eScape was the result. Sea Shanties by nature are generally catchy haha

  5. I have the Beyond the Shadow concert Blu-ray; and I swear the drummer loses five pounds of water weight sweating throughout it. They however are definitely having an absolute blast of a time.

  6. 9:29 as far as I know, all the people in there in a huge majority are ff14 players. I don't know since when, but I notice that whenever there are tickets for concert sales it is: priority ales are for players, then people that is not playing. I'd assume that they use your ff14 account in the process of purchase.

  7. "Half-time drop?"
    That's…huh, haven't heard that…*explanation*

Oh–that would be an explanation, I played wind instruments in band/orchestra through high school and early college, I've always heard that referred to as simply being "cut time". Same overall 'tempo' as it were but expressed in 1/2 the speed.
