RAIDING WILL CHANGE FOREVER! [FFXIV 7.1]

FFXIV’s raiding scene will radically change in Patch 7.1! New players will be getting involved in content equivalent to second floor savage raids exposing new players to the raiding scene and mechanics and BUILDING UP THIER CONFIDENCE AND THAT IS INCREDIBLY AWESOME! The BEST way to get someone past their anxiety and nerves on trying something is to incentivize them into doing it. And to get people incentivized to HELP get them into it! Chaotic alliance raids will change all of the raiding scene and how new players integrate and get into raiding because of the systems involved in it. You don’t need a degree to understand how powerful the Chaotic Alliance Raid systems are in fF14 and how this WILL get players involved in raiding that previously probably never would have even tried!

  1. You don't need a damn degree to understand that this system will motivate experienced players to pull in new players who may never have even touched an extreme trial in their life and get them exposed to content that has been stated by the developers to be equivalent to a second floor SAVEAGE raid set! That is UTTERLY BRILLIANT. This will motivate people a ton! That's not even getting into how nice having a NEW 3rd path for best in slot pieces is. Many healer pieces (globves… foots… isn't great right nows.)

  2. I feel like it's just gonna make raiders hate casual players more, they already have low patience for new people or non perfection, I'ma prob not touch it but glad they keep getting more cool stuff

  3. I'm glad that there's something that might help people get into raiding. As someone who despises raiding I'm never going to use it, but I'm happy that things that aren't for me get support.

  4. I don't know…I expect a lot of people to rather run it more often (since no lockout) rather than risk newcomers that make you possibly wipe for hours. Ye know, like PF in general = / I for myself know that the prospect is not lessening my personal anxiety xD

At best it might make for a reverse incentive to pay Players for being a Handicap to get more Tokens instead of paying for a Carry. I do not expect that at all, but boy would it be funny to see

  5. It'll all depends on how the rewards actually look like , we've seen some and calling them 'good' already is a bit.. subjective to say the least. Difficulty ultimately will be what breaks or make it, it either ends up with the same popularity as most ex/sav, or it becomes a wasteland after the ppl that already would do the content anyways get everything they want

  6. ❤ I couldn’t agree more on the way they develop raiding towards this direction. We need to encourage more players to try raiding. Personally, not only I’m inclined to casual PF on my own progression pace without any pressure, but also objected to serious raiding. Why? All my 5 friends who started playing this game together last year decided to never ever come back to FF14. One of them, who imo was under a lot of pressure during our first raid tier, even bought Dawntrail on PC, and then somehow played only 2-3 days before deleting the game. Another one said never heard of that game when I invited him to come back. I respect their decision and understand the loss of passion we once had so much on this game. 😢

  7. The horizontal progression of the Chaotic gear is useless, it's coming after all content where it would be useful. Not to mention the next patch bringing new crafted gear that overwrites it. It would have been useful if it was releasing closer to the first Savage tier or before Eden Ultimate as a way for people to gear up for those encounters.

  8. Meanwhile those of us who don't give a shit about raiding continue to get shafted. Been there, done that, and with Dawntrail's story being the pile of steaming garbage it is I'm only hanging around to see if 7.1 gives me a reason to continue playing. I don't want to spend 30 minutes listening to someone drone on before getting down to business, I did enough of that in work and at uni. Give us something else fun to do beyond raiding.

  9. How do you come to this conclusion? It will change something but the scope and moreover the scale and which direction the scale is tipping is not something anybody could predict. Also with the jobs the way they are, we have HUGE problem and this will not solve it. Atleast it something new and the rewards seam proper this time around. Its good to hope but not huffing copium on a dino dose.

  10. this is me atm I wanted to do this tier but I hate PF because You never know who you will get IN PF and as someone who can't clear this tier which sucks this going to be nice for main jobs and not only that but also for alt jobs too!

  11. idk why they always have to go savage difficulty. imo we need more extreme ish difficulty content. Everyone is always saying there is no midcore content, and if this turns out to be yet another savage style content, I can see it dying into obscurity like Criterion

I'm skeptical this will be popular, but time will tell

  12. I'm one of those "never raiding" people. And i'll still probably not try this because of the same thing that keeps me out of raiding, stress and anxiety and fear. Hell i fear just doing my weekly and daily dungeons, normals T_T

  13. i'm a lvl 100 rpr main. i don't use any 3rd party monitoring stuff to guage my damage output relative to the other people in the party. to see how you're doing compared to the rest of your party, it's quite simple. in a dungeon, the tank should always be number 1. close melee should be 2, ranged should be 3 and healer should be 4. in a raid party, tanks are 1 and 2, close melee should be 3 and 4, ranged are 5 and 6 and healers are 7 and 8. whichever role your'e in, if your'e the lower number, you're outperforming the other member of that role

  14. Man don't give me hope like that. I have some savage exp but I really want to clear TEA and get it's DRG weapon. Who knows, maybe I go crazy and decide to go for it.
Regardless, as you've said, the more people participate in new modes the better. Hopefully the rewards will be good, unlike 4 man svg. Guess we'll have to see

  15. I'm super excited, not having weekly lockout so players want to grind the content, token system to encourage bringing first timers and tons of rewards… This has all the building blocks for engagement and success.
