  1. This song is the theme of endwalker, but it's also a medly of other 'main themes" from earlier expansions and stories. the intro part is like the new 'endwalker' melody. the second part is the first expansion heavensward ishgard theme, while showing a character from that expansion , interacting with a creature that was themed for it. then it shows two villians introduced in the second expansion, stormblood. then it leads into another theme for endwalker (but later in the story). I'm sure i'm leaving out other subtle nods. but the song was built to energize players about how endwalker includes story elements from all the expansion into it for it to be a sort of 'invinity war' ending to the FF14 story. that's why the transitions are kind of jarring and weird i think.

  3. 'Take you on this crazy journey of different directions.'

Dude, you have no idea how right you are.

This song is like a mashed of melody of all the previous expansions' themes with the new ones thrown in too. It quite literally embodies the journey from A Realm Reborn through Endwalker

  5. This track is such a goof encapsulation of the journey you've been on as the warrior of light. A finale for everything you've been through and a love letter to the players for sticking it out to the end. I can't wait to see what the team has in store for us in the future.

Check out The Black Wolf Stalks Again please

  6. That was actually the entire trailer track, which reflects on the entirety of the current game up to now and is technically a medley with the song changing for different scenes.

Footfalls is only 3 minutes, or about half of it, and is heard at the beginning and end. The melodies in-between are a short rearranged bit from Close in the Distance (also from Endwalker), a rearranged section of Heavensward (from the Heavensward expac), heavily rearranged version of Storm of Blood (from, well, the Stormblood expac), rearrangement of Torn from the Heavens (A Realm Reborn), Song of Hope (Endwalker again, although its not clear that that's the official name since most of the song hasn't show up in-game yet), two very quiet lines from Who Brings Shadow (main Shadowbringers theme, often just called "Shadowbringers"), then finally the rest of Footfalls.

  7. Hey. Hey Jack. I can sing this. I would love to give it a shot tbh >u> I have a few tracks that I'd love to do lyrics to. Rise is one – the rap is stupid fun. Close in the Distance – another Endwalker track and one of my faves right now – is just so nice as well.

  8. Instant click! The Endwalker tracks are incredible. I'm not sure what the official name is but Flow (Band Version) is maybe my favorite. For something harder though I'd agree with others on The Black Wolf Stalks Again

  9. I was looking forward to this song, after I discoverd your other FF Song.
As many pointed out that this song is put together with all opening Songs of the different expansions. FF also doesn't ONLY build on the music. As amazing they are, they use the music to put up a scene. No matter where you are, what you do. There can be a song just stuck in your head and make the moment even better.
I starting playing FF14 half year ago and after the first expansions and first struggle with the new environment, it was just the best journey of my life.
My brother and I constantly hum songs from FF in our freetime, at work, in the car. It's just so catchy. There are soooooooo many good songs, it's impossible to even point the best songs out to review. Especially with many songs having emotional value to the ingame scenerie that they represent.
But if you haven't heard the openings of Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood and Shadowbringer.. you should. This song might make more sense that way and it would be interesting to see someone reviewing the transition between the original and the medley in endwalker, who has the expertise of someone like you.

And FF Player love their game, as I learned to love it myself. And the majority of the community is usually very supportive to people opening up to it.

  10. I stumbled upon this channel about a week or so back with your Endwalker Mid Boss reaction and it was an instant sub for me. Your knowledge of music is just utterly captivating, especially the way you can instantly pick up the vibe of a song and I really, really love what you're doing and the energy and vibes you give off! I cannot wait to catch a stream when you're live and im not working!

Speaking of this vid; i've played FF14 for nearly 3 years and this theme is just utterly special. I wont repeat what many comments have said about it being a mish mash of all our themes so far, but what really stands out to me in this theme is the Heavensward segement. I cant explain why it hits me so much; but the segment that kicks in at 3:18 with that INTENSE riff and choir is the Heavensward theme but with added guitar. I've never heard anything quite like it and I cant really formulate into words WHY it hits me so hard. But I resonated with your head tilt at that point so hard.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wl43jXjn2Ys&ab_channel=hungrychad (The original Heavensward theme, if you wanted to listen to that in your free time)

I honestly, truly believe Soken is a composer on the level of Beethoven. A modernday genius. Now if you'll excuse me, ive got a back catalog of your vids to dig through!
