  1. Editing this video has made me realize how little attention I pay to my surroundings during boss fights. I legit didn't understand why I kept dying throughout the raids, which in hindsight shows how much I underestimated these fights. If you'll excuse me, I'll now schedule an appointment to get my eyes checked.

  2. Usually if you're A B and C you do go left middle and right but also it's fine if you don't as long as most people do it right. With these large raids the individual player has a lot less responsibility than in 8 man raids

  3. 14:00 you jumped into the end game! Lol. I've had an fc house for a while but just got my own house. I'm now leveling all my crafters to make what I need. I did the market board route at first. Still haven't got my Gil back to pre housing levels…

  4. 0:42 — Yup ^.^ Happens every time XD Upside with Alliance raids is that for once as a DPS you have shorter queue times XD

2:24 — In this part, 4 people have to stand on those glowy plattforms – that makes sure, that the mini-boss on the other rows are vulnerable. Due to range, normally the tank pulls the adds back to where the 4 people camp the plattform, so they kill the add while the others kill the miniboss. Thats how its supposed to be, but usually, people just zerg the miniboss while the 4 people on the plattform just… drink tea? Or get flamed because there are NOT 4 people on a plattform, meaning, some other group cant kill their miniboss πŸ˜€

2:39 — This boss in invulnerable, unless you have some sort of shadow buff. The buff starts with one group, then the other and so on. The buff comes from those demons-in-a-pot. In general: if you have the buff, go beat the boss, if you have no buff, kill the adds.

3:32 — Standard behemoth mechanic: if he rears up, go hide somewhere – in this case the giant rocks he droped on some players (as indicated by the green mark above their heads).

4:30 — The Claw attacks the person in each group furthest away from the boss – or closest to where it spaws. Also, there is the "Ancient Flare" mechnic, where you run to your plattform and he explodes the arena: if you get caught, you die. If also other players from other groups get caught, its a wipe πŸ™‚ So save Sprint for that Flare and as range always position close to the edge – but not too close because of the Claw.

5:15 — Thats perfectly normal for first timers XD

6:50 — Congratulations, you're one of the few people who recognised dear Nero πŸ˜€

8:21 — For some garleans, they used the elezen body rig – because, lore and stuff, Garleans are supposed to be really tall. But they are still human aka hyur.

10:56 — There are three orbs: the purple one you drag to one of the three energy towers on the arena, the white one freezes you and yeah, you cant really do anything, and the red one is the fire orb which you drag to frozen players to unfreez them – and then the boss does a big AOE and you have to stand in the puddle, the frozen players leave behind, to minimize the dmg πŸ™‚ Thats how it usually works but this a lvl50 Alli raid so its a cluster f*** and nobody does the mechanics XD

11:58 — Good news: you can loot his stuff πŸ˜€

12:33 — Another "hide or get f***ed"-mechanic πŸ˜€ You probably didnt see, but three players got frozen into blocks and you're supposed to hide behind them.

13:15 — Yeah, in general people wait for cutscene watchers… buuuuuuuuut not here, no… Sadly, no. Be glad when they wait but in these old alli raids its not common.

14:23 — Theres a preview funktion for housing items… Its not much but it helps. I also often google stuff to bet an impression. Btw. Carpenters have the most housing stuff: making and selling that can make some gil.

19:50 — Doggy is in chains, he frees himself, 1 group gets mini and lets doggy eat them, they beat him up from inside till he falls, then one group chains him again, and thats pretty much it ^^ And the third group kills the adds because… there're always adds…

(this is an awefully long comment -.-)

23:33 — No, you're not in the Tower anymore – this is another world alltogether (you get used to it XD )

26:38 — No, but they have teleporters everywhere ^.^ Who needs an elevator? πŸ˜›

Myeah, after this marathon of a commentary, I need a drink o.O

Also, I have to keep up the tradition: Stickerrrrr ^.^

  6. So, about that Cloud of Darkness boss : It actually is the final boss of Final Fantasy III. Also, the soundtrack playing while G'raha is saying goodbye, before closing the door, is called Eternal Winds and is the main theme of FFIII πŸ™‚
Told you getting a room would ruin you, getting furniture is the true last boss of FFXIV…
All the money I spent, it still comes back to haunt me, especially when I buy outdoor furniture before realising I only have my FC room to decorate.
Little tip for your future 24-players raids : Always check what group you're a part of, and look at the A/B/C mark on the field or the map. It indicates where you must go when the groups split, be it for taking different paths or fighting specific monsters πŸ™‚

  7. Ah! Well done in the crystal tower, the apartment, mining and the balloooooons! I'm sorry the groups ran ahead, but don't worry if the mechanics were confusing. With time you'll do them all a dozen times over and pick up on things. Sometimes it's good to say in chat that it's your first run, people should give you space and time for cutscenes, and they might offer advice for mechanics too. I see you found the ARR weapon too! That weapon will evolve as you upgrade it, but the ARR ones are a grind (and in this case I might suggest googling it). Also, welcome to the decoration bug bit club! It's a real gil sink! Make sure your items don't have shop values that are cheaper. The housing NPCs sell a lot of furnishings. πŸŽ‰ thank you for another video, this was exciting!

  8. I still have the same reaction to Kum Kum when I do the crystal tower πŸ˜‚ Jokes aside, hope you liked it! The relics are a huuuuge grind, but you get shiny weapons to put in your glamour dresser

  9. Damn, that was some adventure indeed! Congrats on getting past the tower!
Though as a certain doctor said, you're in the Endgame now… (at least for A Realm Reborn) hold on tight! :3

Oh and for the little village with the blacksmith and the bow you tried on, this is the beginning of a rather long side quest where you unlock the first "relic weapon" of the game. It's a weapon that looks basic and boring at the beginning but that you can upgrade through the quest and get glowing effects on, and even a final different design (the bow is one of the best looking one). There is one relic weapon per job, per expansion (if the job you want the relic of was available at the time), so the old ones are just for glamour but a lot of people are still doing them because they look amazing ^^.

  10. Don't worry too much about the deaths in CT. I think you've unlocked Alliance Roulette by completing the CT series. It's an entirely optional daily raid that randomly puts you in one alliance raid that you've unlocked, and gives bonuses like gil, experience, and tomestones. A lot of people will run them to level up different jobs or grind tomestones. Since the Crystal Tower series is the only mandatory one, it tends to be the most common raid. (And until you reach the end of Heavensward, it will be the only one you would get if you do the roulette.) So a LOT of people just try and rush through. (Hence the not waiting for cutscenes and forgetting that not everyone knows the mechanics.) So yeah, don't worry if you die often, or if the rest of the alliance starts a fight while you're in a cutscene. Feel free to take your time and enjoy the ride!

As a healer main, I love seeing sprouts in CT, and try my best to keep them up, especially if it looks like the rest of the group is just trying to power through.

Thanks for the sticker and the double length video! πŸ‘

  11. Loved it, to be fair Crystal Tower raids don't have really intuitive mechanics and since everyone does it for the bonus roulette you don't really have time to enjoy it nowadays. But yeah, lore is important so suck it up!

    Also, cum cum

  12. If you enjoyed this Alliance Raid series,
look very forward to Level 70 and 90 πŸ‘
Just think about the 70 ones gives me difficulties
    containing the euphoria.
