I picked up Final Fantasy XIV earlier this year while playing through the main Final Fantasy series and have played it almost every day since. Here’s pretty much everything I did in the game this year as well as some of the things I’d like to do in 2023.

I also deep dived into relic weapons this year. Finished all HW (because they are ridiculously easy) and working on a lot of Resistance weapons cause most of them look so unique and the glow is so subtle, just lovely 🙂 Wish you the best in your future FFXIV endeavors!
you can manipulate the alliance raid to get a low one if you want by removing your gear down to the lvl you want, then reequip once your que pops or inside i do it so i get the ARR raids normally maze or tower quick easy 10min runs
hey would you please share the ost list you used?
Pagos is pronounced Pah-gos and means…. ice… shocking i know
healing becomes a lot easier at higher levels since you unlock a lot more abilities to keep the party alive, a lot of the time you can just pop an ogcd ability and go back to dpsing – someone who gotten almost all healers to 90 (just got astro left to do)
5:00 you don't need to purchase replic beofre turning it in. if you turn in a zeta weapon the replicas for all steps will be permenantly available from the vendor
Sorry I bring this up before continuing the video but also as a controller player my general tip for handling abbilities and movement is placing your GCDs on the face buttons, since those are the ones you press the most, and having your off GCD abbilities on the dpad, as those are less often. When I play a new job and arange my hotbars I always make sure to follow this principle, something I didnt do when starting the game and made raiding harder than it needed to be.
I know it can be tricky if you've already set on muscle memory for certain actions, but trust me, this tip helps a lot
Bozja is a lot of fun but getting into the instanced dungeons is kind of a pain
As a controller player since May 2018, I have just arranged all my cross hotbars so that anything i need to stand still for is on my left hand. This is possible because I am a caster main lol. But your note about controller is very true and helpful.
I do not understand this whole rush to the end of content people keep doing. I've been playing for about 2 years now. I just finished Heavensward. I'm on the cusp of starting Stormblood. But there still SO much stuff to do in the RR, HW areas still. sidequests, beast tribe quests, dungeons, zodiac weapons, class quests, I just TODAY finished RR sightseeing. All I hear in FFXIV videos and forums is "I finished Endwalker now there's nothing to do." Excuse me? Are we playing the same game? Currently working on my Dragoon RR weapon. On my…5th book?
Really cool video and actual useful information about the relics. Keep the good work!
"i didn't know what a tank stance is" omg bro u reminded me of a cursed memory of myself when i started the game, i was in the lvl 28 dungeon and i was playing paladin i knew that as a tank i must draw enemies to me but didn't know what a tank stance is i was only using provoke and the party in the chat kept saying tank stance pls i was so mad that i told em to fuk off i'm not gonna put my stance istg i'm very sorry for what i said to these peeps i was an idiot
You talking about healer is me talking about tanking XD 100%
The Weapon's Refrain (Ultimate) is by far the easiest one, it's easier than even certain savage raids imo, and also offers the best looking weapons imo
I claw grip on the playstation controller so moving while using dpad isnt too bad for me, got used to it from dark souls and platform fighters.
My recommendation is to do the current savage tier before running UWU just bc its easier to find either a static and pf groups normally wants people to clear current savage before entering
I hated doing the books phase when I finished all my ARR relic weapons, but now that its been years since my last ARR relic. I kinda miss having a book in my inventory to grind from time to time when I have some time to kill.
I actually found myself running out of content. Finished MSQ, don’t like difficult content without friends, so Extreme and Savage prog was out of the question. Was running out of classes to level.
ShB relic grind changed that. I actually jumped into Bozja at first to help level jobs from 71-80, but eventually found that I wanted one of the relics: RDM’s Blade Weapon, top highest tier relic. I’ve been pumping the nights of my last week into it, and I’ve essentially spent about 40 some hours trying to get through not just my grind for the relic, but the multiple First Time grinds too. And it’s so worth it!!! Right now, I’m very nearly done with it, and discovered how fun CLL, DR, and Dalriada are! I still need to rewatch the story, but Bozja was a big, fun change for me!
Relic weapon content is my favorite content to grind in XIV!
this game has been my life for the past 2-3 years I'm so glad you're still playing it, randomly finding out one of my favorite youtubers is playing one of my favorite games made me so excited lol
edit: just saw how much 14 content you have on this channel, time to binge
I play for about 4 months now. Lvl 71 WHM main and Lvl 70 Reaper, the others are at 50-60. MSQ is a bit into Stormblood. I do MSQ mainly with a bit of roulette now and then, but
somehow i'm a bit burned out. The stories are nice, but also a bit of a drag. And i don't want to start any grind until i'm done with the story, max level etc to really know what's worth grinding.
Crafting is kinda nice, but after i "forced" one job to 50 (don't know the english word, the one with metal armor etc) for the weapon and armor i'm a bit demotivated to level another because of all the different materials you need. Not just that, but putting them into or getting them from retainers when i want to craft a bit is kinda annoying.
Ok, this turned a bit into a rant, but i didn't really mean to 😅
FF14 is still one of the best MMOs out there, maybe i just need to pause for a week or two.
Good luck on your goals, reminds me of when i picked up ffxiv… i went down the same road as you 🙂
funny, i can't play with the xbox controller cause when i have to move and use actions assigned to the dpad instinctivly i use the right thumb to reach on the left analog, and i can't do that on the xbox controller
If you ever try mouse or keyboard get a logitech g550 or whatever has 1 through = on the thumb. You can do 3 full hot bars with just your thumb and alt or ctrl. Also, arr relics are way faster now. Look foward to the shb relics which you only need to do to second to last stage for the best ones. The first glowy shield and second glowie sword feom bozja work great but never work for the 535 ilvl cause they are all ugly as sin. Except drk and a few others have a good 535 glam wothout the stupid crystals. 515 for dnc is prolly the best weapon for them.
nice video, And ultima weapon ultimate is my first ultimate. my team is at 80%. good luck for your UwU run.
If you find yourself able to pick up on savage pretty fairly then you won't have much problem with UWU. Have fun!! Ultimates are my favorite content so I hope to see you in them some day!
didnt hear you mention if you have done savage content, you should probably try that before doing ultimates, since the difficulty scale might be a bit much from normal raid to ultimate.
