FFXIV is story main stuff { they spend much to deliver a good one and you can't skip it}..then the very nice community.. very friendly and social ( they get ban if bad talk on chat I think, that's pvp don't go well there) , they have many adult interactions and parties and outfits to play sexy o.O ..
and help xd). Gw2 have outfits, skins but is more about how shiny you can look, we have parties : well gatherings in some areas and people talk, dance, play instruments, have fun … But the FUN is in pvp and in world vs world.
Gw2 story is very good but sometimes they rushed it in some areas. We also have a nice and friendly community in pve very helpfull ( if I see someone have difficulty I can stay few minutes away from pvp
I agree… best game ever is gw2
only the closed minded ever say "No One Will Convince Me" that said I believe both games are equally great and no one has 'yet' to convince me one is better then the other.
starting with ff14 is not even a mmo, is a single player game with co op game modes, i think currently gw2 is the only mmo that transmit the massive feeling and such.
5:30 There is one exception I want to point out here: The "quests disguised as collections", like skyscale, rollerbeetle or gourmet. All of them starting by talking to an NPC, so technically "picking up a quest".
FF14 for me is a single player RPG with some unskippable multiplayer instances thrown into the mix and some social community hubs. Great in telling a story, including the many cutscenes – no doubt. But there is also some stuff that doesn't work that well for me in that department. Good ideas about crafting and having every single profession on one character and a nice housing system. It has it's benefits and some stuff to learn from, but it isn't the holy grail of all MMOs.
I actually wouldn't call one game better than another one. The big ones out there have all different points to them catering do specific player demographics.
This year in march i suddenly had an urge to try guild wars 2 again after not playing since hitting max level in like 2012 and never playing again… now i'm almost full legendary gear on my main character
this game has me hooked in like no other, i just couldn't believe how great this game has become over the years and there's actually tons and tons of content now.
I truly respect FF14 and the developers, but for my taste GW2 is the superior game.
