  1. Stick with it. It does get interesting later. Your brother is right! Also if it makes you feel any better the longer you play the more it makes this boring part count for something. You won't feel like you wasted time here later the longer you play is basically what I'm saying.

  2. im ngl man ffxiv is possibly my favorite game >.> i have like 120 days played rn after starting in 2021and i genuinely don't afk lol.

    having said that i honestly kinda think the game is very mid up to like lvl 60 gameplay wise lmao. i enjoyed the story enough that i stuck with it and it ended up just getting better like every thing i did just kept getting more interesting/rewarding. it goes from B+ in ARR/HW to A+/S tier from Stormblood to Shadowbringers/Endwalker. It's hard to describe all the exponentially improved aspects of the game that came after HW.
