  1. 30:49 — When I first saw this, I didnt understand a single word 😀 I guess, old players who have cracked their heads over waiting for the next patch, were able to make more of this, but me (joined during 5.2)? Nope, sir… It wasnt until waaaaay later that this all made sense XD

Thing with this game… speculating wont get you anywhere ^^° The only way to get your answers is… forging on 🙂 At least there is the promise that about 90% of all your current questions will be answered. It might just take another couple of patches ^^°

  2. Thancred is such an incredible character and them allowing moments where his genuine love and care for Minfillia show through is always so heartbreaking to watch.

  3. You prefer ARR Thancred? I think I prefer the one that punches Emmanellain in the face 🙂
One of the things I like about this game is demonstrated early in this patch, when Thancred and Krile infiltrate the castrum. They approach you with a few things that have to be done, and they say "we'll go do this thing, you go do that thing" instead of asking the player character to do both. It makes the world and the characters feel so much more alive and real.
Lots of info stuffed into just a few sentences in that scene with "minfilia". Big ol' lore dump, I love it.

  4. This was the part of the story I fell in love with Thancred. Till now he always felt like comic relief or a disposable Scion. Finally he has grew into his own and we get real passion and emotion from him. Added much needed depth.

  5. I have to admit, when Thancred just flat out decked Emmanellain, I felt so vindicated. The youngest, sheltered son, shirking all responsibility onto his older brothers, always looking for others to bail him out or do his work for him – and this time, with his thoughtless, flailing actions he threatens to topple a peace better men are building? And then tries to foist the weight onto anybody else for their failure at not being there to take the responsibility from him?

I get it. I do. Emmanellain has refused to grow up and neither his brother nor his father has managed to drag him through it – but seeing him stretched out on the ground had me raising my arms in frustrated victory. Thancred's aimed higher and lost harder, you idiot child. A lesser father might disown you, you know and you'd better be damned grateful if Ser Aymeric doesn't throw you to the wolves to appease the angry citizenry.

Sorry. That whole sequence just really riles me up, even now.
