Ever get lost trying to figure out the best ways to level your combat jobs? Watch this Final Fantasy 14 video to find out 5 different ways to effectively level alternate jobs! Or classes. Or whatever you want to call them.

Also hello! I’m Braxophone, and I’m primarily known as a Genshin Impact content creator. Unfortunately, the YouTube algorithm HATES when you post a video about a different game, so I was forced to make a second channel, however, I’m super excited to continue to make ff14 content. I plan on creating guides, fluff, and raid stuff later, so drop a sub if you wanna see it when it’s out 🙂

Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Square Enix. Directed and produced by Naoki Yoshida, it was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 in August 2013, as a replacement for the failed 2010 version of the game, with support for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and macOS releasing later. Final Fantasy XIV takes place in the fictional land of Eorzea, five years after the events of the original 2010 release. At the conclusion of the original game, the primal dragon Bahamut escapes from its lunar prison to initiate the Seventh Umbral Calamity, an apocalyptic event which destroys much of Eorzea. Through the gods’ blessing, the player character escapes the devastation by time traveling five years into the future. As Eorzea recovers and rebuilds, the player must deal with the impending threat of invasion by the Garlean Empire from the north.

  1. I've been playing this game for 4 years and I only just NOW found out about the whole level 80 bonus thing. If i didn't max out all my jobs already I'd be hyped. Good video very informative

  2. My tip that people might not know: Some of the cash-shop glamour outfits (like the Far Eastern Matriach set) give an xp bonus under level 30 if you're wearing all 3 set pieces, and they give basic stats. So it's handy to keep a set around to level multiple alt jobs, both for the xp boost and so that you're not naked at level 1!

  3. Squadrons are slow? Once you get them all to 5 Offensive mastery, they will kill just as fast or faster than any party of real players, especially for the lower level dungeons. The biggest downside to GC squads is the big level gaps between some of the dungeons, so you end up running Brayflox’s Longstop and Aurum Vale forever. With the pre-order earrings, doing dungeons is way more efficient since the majority of experience comes from defeating mobs. You get no mob kill experience from deep dungeons, which is a shame.

  4. Good video, nice pace and depth of explanations! Your description of Armoury bonus was incorrect though as it has nothing to do with having one class "maxed out". You get it whenever you are levelling a combat class that is lower than your highest level class whatever that number happens to be which is explained clearly on the same wiki page you from where you grabbed the experience table. There are a lot of good reasons to level one class all the way first but Armoury bonus is not one of them.

  5. Important things you missed:
1: Clan mark bills (similar to hunting log but relevant at higher levels and gives you something to do while waiting for a dungeon queue to pop)
2: Combat beast tribe quests (especially in ShB these are wild)
3: Fates (esp in ShB where you have to do them to unlock some important stuff anyway so why not get some exp while doing that?"
I would put these three way above leves, squadrons or trusts in terms of efficiency.
4: Another important thing is that squadron buffs overwrite fc buffs of the same kind, they do not stack. if you have the 10% xp buff from your FC, using a squadron battle manual takes it up to by 5%, it does NOT add another 15%.
5: One FC can only prime a grade 3 buff once every 70 hours, and every buff lasts 24 hours, so there is absolutely no way an FC is going to have +15% xp buff up 100% of the time unless they prepared it months in advance. They could easily have +10% xp buff up 100% of the time though.

  6. Just a small correction not all listings on MB are scams 😅. You can sometimes get gear cheaper than from the npc vendor bc people don’t need the one they got from a quest bc they already have something better etc. so make sure to check MB before you buy from a vendor. Every item that can be bought from a vendor has the price listed in item description so it’s not hard to know if you’re getting scammed or not 😁

  7. Just a note highest level dungeons available are not necessarily better exp. The important thing is to choose the highest available ones from MSQ bc they all have huge exp bonuses. Dungeons at max levels like 50/60/70 don’t give much exp bc they were endgame content not designed for the purpose of leveling 😊.

Also rested status accumulates in any city with an aetheryte (crystal) so even not in major ones. You can see if it’s on by a small moon icon on the bottom of your exp bar.

  8. Truthfully you should be leveling 2 jobs also you progress through the msq if its your first time. Switching back and forth prevents overleveling and allows you to take advantage of the massive exp that the msq gives. If you're 4 to 5 levels above what the level of your msq is, you're overlevel'd. I would recommend leveling a tank or healer as one choice to prevent long dungeon queue times, then a job of whatever you want. Getting to level 80 in thus game really means NOTHING as it's doesn't have the same system in place as typical mmos. You can be level 80 all you want but can't do any content with your friends because you haven't unlocked the content through the msq…focus more on the msq and unlocks, not the exp.

  9. I don’t know if anyone else mentioned it, but small correction: you don’t have to unlock the HW raids to unlock alliance raid roulette. You have the roulette when you finish Crystal Tower and you’ll just get a random 1 of those 3.

  10. My preferred route looks something like this.
    PotD to 60 > Command Missions 60-61 > Heaven on High 61-70 > Fairy Beast Tribe/Fates 70-71 > Bozja/Zadnor 71-80.

I usually only run SHB Trust dungeons in the 71-80 range to break up the Bozja/Zadnor monotony.
This works best for me because I have roulette-phobia on tanks and healers when I'm playing solo.

  11. Just a small nitpick about squadrons they’re actually the fastest to complete dungeons with, better than both players and trust npc’s but in order to reach that point you have to rank up their tactics.

  12. Small correction, Rested EXP, you can get it as long as you are in a safe-zone, you no longer need to log out in an Inn. You can tell if you are "resting" if you see the crescent moon icon at the right side of your EXP bar.

  13. While I don't recommend doing it just for the exp, the preorder of Endwalker comes with an earring that boosts exp by 30% up to level 80. If you know you're going to be playing endwalker for sure and decide to preorder, don't forget to pick up the earrings! Their stats automatically sync to your class so you don't have to worry about weighing stats over exp.

  14. it is worth it to check the marketboard for gear, sometimes its cheaper than vendor. but at the end of the day i highly recommend leveling all crafters & gatherers (minus culinarian and fisher because they are not necessary for the rest of the crafting classes). it can take a while but if ur not lazy, saves a crap ton of gil. if you do level them i heard that the diadem is super good for exp

  15. Squadron command missions are actually faster than running dungeons with players once you've maxed out Offensive mastery on all your members. It's highly recommended for DPS jobs for the 53-60 bracket because PoTD actually starts to give less exp past level 50. Another tip is that for 70-71, the Pixie beast tribe quests give almost 4 million exp per day total while taking less than 5 minutes to complete normally, it takes about 4 days total to get 70-71 from them alone.

  16. Cant forget beast tribe dailies. The fairy beast tribe quests can bank you up to 6mil+ exp for 3 quests a day and as you're leveling your rep with them you can get up to 12mil+ on the days you rank up with the beast tribe and are able to do another 3 quests. 6 quests for 12mil+ exp seems like a pretty good trade off lol

  17. I just got into new gradina from limosa and all the quests are like lvl 1 to 7. So should I complete the quests with another job or just keep using my main class even if the exp gains are low
