GG Podcast: Nintendo "Looks into it", FFXIV TV Canceled, No Romance Allowed & MORE!

00:12:02 – Show Start

2024 is feeling a whole lot like 2023 with layoffs continuing in the games industry. We take some time to talk about how the continuing cascade of lost jobs have now reached Riot and Blizzard, the Pokemon Company looking at getting legal with Palword, a cancelled Final Fantasy XIV live-action television adaptation, and which one of us is the best vocalist.

  1. You could pay 200 dollars more for each game and im sure devs will still be low balled and fired after a single year of work… Because it all goes to the suites at the top. Game devs are the coal miners of now… dosent matter how much money the industry makes.

  2. Ah yes, the 14 series. My idea is just a group of adventurers hanging around in city states just talking about what they've been doing with bits of flashes of story 😂

  3. I mean, with Blizzard’s current track record, that survival game wasn’t going to be very good. Which is a shame because a survival game in the WoW universe woulda been neat. 😂
