This is exactly how it goes with me and my friends in games! Apart from I loose…unless it's final fantasy! (It's a way of life I say,!) always getting asked to duel.😢 Because PvP is there way of life 😢😂

I don't know about duels everywhere… BUT I have suggested before more Dueling "Venues" there's plenty of spaces in the overworld that could accomate dueling or even special instances like those "Boss – Target Dummy" areas that serve a similar purpose. I just think it be nice.
This is actually what happens when you finally get a crafter or gatherer main to duel you.

Dueling anywhere would be kind of strange and bad really.
The hotbars are different between PvE & PvP afterall, would be weird to just suddenly see all your buttons change
I think they could just utilize the Engagement system they have in Bozja, that way it would allow the dueling players to be locked in a placeable ring anywhere they choose it, but other players can just waltz through it unharmed since they wouldn't be instanced into it. And yes, I think they should allow you to choose whether to accept the duel. I don't think we'd be quite ready for a Karma style system like some other MMOs have, or a free-fight system that lets you just ambush someone. It wouldn't let you gank anyone like it does in other games, but it'd be fun wandering through the land and then you just see these two players duking it out. Obviously I think this needs refinement XD, but I've been thinking about anywhere-duels for a long time.
Whenever asked to duel in FF14 I switch to monk. Stun-lock to death is a thing and is hilarious. It also prevents them from ever asking again.
I think they should have them. If someone spams you can always block them

i think adding the ability to duel request in safe zones would be awesome. Im not very good at pvp but i always enjoyed a nice friendly 1v1
I've always wanted this feature when I first discovered pvp. Sadly I gave up on the idea over the years since majority of the playerbase don't even like pvp.
