In this video we find mini Minfinlia, fight Ran’jit, and reunite with Thancred! Then we journey to Il Mheg and do some favors for the pixies before reuniting with Urianger [who I love very much if you couldn’t tell] ^-^
I’ve decided to go with a video format in Shadowbringers where I include as much of the voiced cutscenes as I can due to them being so interesting, which I hope is ok!

I enjoyed Ilmheg but the initial fog effect and the eternal Light bothered my eyes for a time. Once everything was lifted did my eyes felt better.

Awww D: The actual meeting with the people of the Crystarium did not make it into one of the videos! That's a shame, it's easily one of my favourite memories of this expansion for a multitude of reasons and even more so in hindsight.
Still, this was a fun part to watch, with each surprise and realisation on your part. There's much "life" in it, for lack of a better word. Really does make me wish I would have found your content earlier, so I could have watched the whole experience over on Twitch instead of these fragments. Nevertheless, thank you for sharing that much. It's always fun to see how others experience something; what things they realized so much earlier than I did and which things that seemed obvious to me slipped by. 😀
I always liked how much they expanded on Alphinaud and Alisae's relationship in this expansion, this is the first one where I really felt like they were siblings.
You know, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say you simp for Urianger. Crazy, I know. The subtle hand gestures and quiet squeeing at the sight of him almost gave it away. Nearly undetectable to the average person. 😋
I think you missed a piece of dialogue somewhere when they were explaining the plan to save Minfilia. They never implied that there wouldn't be any fighting. The dream powder was never meant to take out everyone; it was just the thin the numbers, so you wouldn't be overwhelmed once the fighting broke out. That aside, I love how Alisaie looks like a prince in that Crystarium armor. <3
I'm glad you like the pixie voices. I always did too, but I hear a lot of people don't, and I don't understand why. They're exactly as I imagined they would be, and it's so perfect. Especially Feo Ul. I love them especially. And that line "Your lovely branch was useful, yes? So whenever you're in trouble, you must remember to MAKE USE OF ME!" makes me laugh nervously, because we really didn't remember.
It's funny, when I first got to Il Mheg, I kinda ignored the MSQ and just went around exploring and enjoying the scenery and collecting all the non-quested aether currents (I actually got like 8 or 9 of them), along with all the aetherytes, only to then go back and realize that after a few quests, the mist is all gone and it would've been a lot easier to navigate if I'd just done that first. It was fun, though.
43:17 This line has always driven me crazy. "As life's myriad colors combine to produce black…" Um, excuse me? Colors combine to produce WHITE. Black is when you REMOVE all color. And it's not like they needed to fudge this in order to explain their plot point. They could've just said something about darkness being chaotic and always-moving, and light being orderly and passive or some such. I've seen it done elsewhere on more than one occasion. But I guess that's just a nerdy pet peeve I'll always have. 😛
