A good storytelling brings out emotions and makes you care for the characters involved. FFXIV is a prime example of it.

I didn't know you started played FF14! I think more Final Fantasy fans should experience FF14. Heck, Heavensward alone is has better story than recent Final Fantasy that came out.

Imagine being there when this was released and still months left until the story continues in Heavensward. The suspense!
Also, mandatory lore drop: Seeing Yugiri maskless was a big deal back then, because the Au'ra race was not released until Heavensward. Seeing her there was the first time the race was actually physically shown to the players.
Congrats for pushing through ARR (the ending was well worth it). It just gets better from there!
Grats on finishing ARR!! It's nice you're giving the game a try, and if somehow we're on the same data center, be nice to run into you! As for the voice acting, the devs completely revised it from HW onwards, so expect them to sound different than your use to hearing! Its a much tighter experience overall imo.
