  1. I do feel there's something which was missed in this video, which could give you a more content for 13:
While isn't a "13 reference in 14" per se, you could've included the "13 code in 14", aka, 14 1.0 team being forced to use and adapt the crystaltools that made 13 because SE was stuck with their head in their asses regarding "graphics above all", which ultimately, together with bad mechanic choices, plagued 14 1.0 development entirely. I know there's noclip documentary and whatnot, but I still think it would've added a lot to the video, even if just as an overview since it's entirely 13's dev kit that plagued 14 initially. 😛

    Regarding 15, I didn't know there was a 14 event inside 15, that's cool!

Yoshi-P is smart, I assume we'll get a crossover of 16 in 14 just like the promotion of lightning returns around launch time so you might have content for 16 soon xD

I'm eager to see the tactics videos 😀 Good job!

Wow!! I never saw the Venat reference in the fight!! good catch!!
I have always though of Garlemald capital as a nod to FF15's Niflheim capital. They are both empire' capital, main bad guys city, technologically advanced…. and when the heroes finally get there everything is already destroyed by a new threat, in ruins, then even look similar, cold city ruins with a tall building in the background, sad music…. I think there are so many similarities that it was worth to mention.
I also think Aumarot feels like Insomnia, but that might just be me.
And lastly, Emet and Ardyn seem to have very similar personalities, bery sassyor pompous but suffering inside with some kind of resentment with a deep connection to the main protagonist… maybe just a coincidence

  3. I find it kinda charming that after the monster videos for XI and XII, the last two games barely make up for a single video. It makes total sense why that is, but it’s still funny to me.

  4. There's a couple things I wanted to point out!
▪︎The FFXIII Ochu model can be seen as early as the Azim Steppe (they are in the south of the area map).
▪︎Perhaps less relevant but might still be fun to point out. Physical copies of FFXIII originally included beta test codes for FFXIV 1.0, giving a choice between the PC and PS3 versions. Due to the poor reception of 1.0, the PS3 beta test was canceled, but the codes were made valid again for the ARR beta test. (Edit: the code was for an item in 1.0 according to an old Siliconera article. I thought I posted a link in reply to this but I might have forgot to send it…?)

  5. There’s a part in the XIV-XV quest in which Noctis is in Gridania and if you speak to him outside of him having a quest marker he says something along the lines of “cat people, cat people everywhere. Y’jhimei wasn’t kidding”

  6. Also the "Dreadnaught" is also a mount awarded for the top 100 players(for each Data Center) in the Feast Season 20.

The Feast was competitive PvP mode that is now removed from the game.

  7. RIp fabula nova crystalis

What had the potential for such an amazing series got beaten down and shot in the foot by 2010s square-Enix development syndrome and ended up becoming something unintended and not what a lot fans wanted. I do kind of hope it doesn’t just get forgotten like so many other square games do

  8. I love your video. I hope they have Final Fantasy crossover event again. I feel Lighting’s graphics was better than Noctis. It is strange that Noctis and Lighting stance are similar to one another. Great job. I know there was some references that were missed, but I know you will have follow videos with it. Also, I am wondering with the next video that you will mention Y’shtola is part of the main story line for Final Fantasy:Dissidia. Thank you for your videos. I cannot wait for your next one.
