The localisers brought this upon themselves, all they had to do was faithfully localise the source as much as possible, whilst keeping the context in place but choose not to. They disrespected the artist's work, ruined it and insulted the fans. All because they are jealous they can't create anything good or meaningful and their asinine ideology is more important than actually doing their job correctly. Whilst I don't wish any ill will onto anyone I have zero sympathy for these people and they got what they deserved.

Wights: Ghouls created by the Others(White Walkers) through reviving human and animal(yes) corpses. Only dies to fire.
Others/White Walkers: non-human sapient beings of unknown motive, but seemingly homicidal. Only dies to Dragonglass a.k.a obsidian.
Night King: a former commander of the Night's Watch turned to the side of the Others, but as far as books canon is concerned, still a legend of uncertain existence.
