  1. I got all the poetics for all my ARR and HW relics while farming Eureka Relics and Elemental Armor. nobody really talks about it but FATEs in there gives you alot off poetics. I have also heard Bozja/Zadnor now gives a good amount off poetics but zones look pretty dead now and I Farmed all the weapons there in SHB while it didnt give poetics

  2. As someone that’s done at least 1 of each (some more than others, 7 anima, 3 ShB, 3 Eureka, 1 Zodiac) I would rate them in terms of difficulty from easiest time to hardest as

    1. HW
    2.Eureka
    3. ShB (after 1st completion)
    4. Zodiac/ShB (before 1st completion)

HW as this video explains can be done passively and is low effort and you only have to do a bit of dungeon spam and A9S for ~20-30min

StB- Eureka relics can feel like a grind if you strictly go for them, but you can unlock all 4 islands and then go back to farm the crystals/rare Zone NM mats and it’s not bad because Eureka is probably one of the best ways to make GIL from Rare drops (magicite items 6 total accessories, logograms) or Bunny chests (auto 10k, 25k or 100k and rare mounts and minions worth millions) or just BA grind to sell armor to new guys, and as you play you get crystals/mats and it’s the fastest relic to do if you save everything needed before hand. You can skip cutscenes and have a start to finish relic in less than 5 minutes.

ShB- not going to sugarcoat this one, besides the fact certain key aspects are almost dead besides a dedicated few that do CLL, Delubrum Reginae etc, the sheer amount of drops to be farmed can be overwhelming and there are 2 steps that are 1 time only but they also hide the worst step. You will need 180 materials from either bozja/Zadnor fate/CE grind, or 180 HW, StB and ShB raid fights. Honestly this step made me think the ARR books weren’t bad after all, good news is after the 1st one it gets a lot easier but can still take time to find people to run almost dead content.

ARR- Starts off as a small grind, slowly going uphill then you reach the book section and you’re at the foot of Mt.Everest. By far the grindiest relic step, fate sniping, world travel to snipe certain mobs and having to repeat because you will need the slight variation mobs next to each other (ex. Goblin casters, then next book goblin melee users) so you will do circles in obscure spots to get the kills needed and repeat dozens of times, after that it’s also by far the most expensive relic to make, a mandatory 400,000 gil unavoidable 4 item purchase from random junk salesmen across the continent, not even factoring the desynth/MKT board materials cost or level 1-2 Materia (this is why level 1-2 materia are 5-10x more expensive than level 3-8 materia). It’s only ranked as worst because like I said earlier at least the ShB worst steps are only 1 time and done, otherwise if we had to get 180 mats for each ShB relic I would have rated it worse/equal to Zodiac relic. Grind is one thing, but cost factor is another if you don’t have lots of GIL, don’t do a Zodiac weapon.

Long comment I know but that’s just my take as someone that’s been through each relic.

  3. As others have said, Eureka for working on SB relics while getting poetics for HW relics. And good for you for choosing the pink glow ball of awesome for AST. Nothing else has come close imo to being better. I've made them all (and the ARR ones) and I def preferred the HW grind over the ARR ones..fucking books.

  4. The nice thing about the Anima relics, is that you can multi-task many of the materials needed for the different steps, to the point where you can literally collect everything you need before even starting the quest chain.

  5. I do anima passively by stocking up all poetic mats before doing it in one go, all poetics from duty roulette are into those.. And bozja gives out poetics pretty fast while leveling in bozja

  6. Thanks for giving me something to use my poetics on, if at least to stop having to press the damn confirmation pop up whenever I wanna turn in a daily tribe quest and I'm capped.

  7. For the Crystal Sand step, one pretty easy way to get them is the levequest Dance Dance Magic. You pop the quest, look for a chest, then abandon and restart the quest.

  8. Eureka's also a great way for poetics since you'd be knocking out the stormblood relic alongside the poetic grind. If you just care about poetics bozja/zadnor is better in my opinion.

  9. Good little bit of synergy is that if you farm Alexander raids for the Unidentifiable Items exchange, you can exchange the gear items you get from in there in Idyllshire for gear, that you can then turn in to the Grand Company for Company Seals. Even if you don't need the relic items anymore, you can buy a "lootbox" from the company that can have a lot of ARR, Heavensward and Stormblood mounts and pets

  10. Everytime I'm capped on poetics I just spend them on materials for the hw relics.
Pretty easy to get them all done in almost one go once you have everything.
After my first three finished weapons I just farmed all fate crystals for all 10 remaining jobs with a friend. Doing the dungeons done on a daily basis per weapon and after that it'll be the time to hand in my huge stacks of aether oil and all the other materials I bought with poetics in advance.

  11. Anima is so much easier to do than Zodiac. If you preplan getting all the required mats for the steps, they go by super fast. The worst part is def the light grind. I don’t have luck with the Savage method so I grinded a dungeon solo which was the most painful part of the quest for me.

  12. Dude, I actually just did this over this past weekend. I spent poetics any time I was near cap to just buy these items in preparation. Had them stored up for months, but then I decided to do the FATE farm on Saturday, and finished my MCH weapon in only like 4 hours.

  13. I ctrl+f'd vilekin and didn't see anyone saying it, so I'm gonna say it: for the crystal sand step, Amber encased Vilekin is the single best item to sand ratio, at one vilekin for two sand. You can get it from coffers that spawn in HW leves. Those coffers have a 25% chance to appear, they appear immediately, and if you open one, the items inside are yours, even if you fail the quest. The farm involves grabbing the "dance magic dance" leve, going to Idyllshire, and then repeatedly initiating the quest, looking for the coffer, and then abandoning the quest until you're out of allowances. With any luck, you can cut your sand farming down by half, if not completely, with this method. I even had sand left over for whatever relic I want to make next once I got my PLD weapon.
Edit: also, moonstones can be bought for company seals, turning in at 5 for 2 sand. It's not efficient, it's not cheap, but if you've exhausted all other methods and the ones based on chance aren't dropping, it's an easily replenished source.

  14. More Poetic grinding: kill A Realm Reborn and Heavensward A ranks if you come across any of them, they're easily soloable. Drop everything to go and kill S ranks whenever they're called, S ranks all drop 100 Poetics. Join hunt trains, because even Endwalker A ranks drop Poetics. Run Trials Roulette over and over, there's a new player bonus more often than not.

  15. If you’re like me and don’t care to spend gil, for the crystal sand part i bought 90 battlecraft demimateria l, 60 battlecraft demimateria ll, 90 fieldcraft demimateria l, 60 fieldcraft demimateria ll and that got me 60 crystal sand. Costed me only 1.5mil and if anyone is interested i have enough extra to get 60 more crystal sand (bought more than necessary)

  16. Fun fact: unless they changed this since the last time I worked on any of these relics, the job of the Zodiac relic you trade in at the start doesn't HAVE to match the job of the Anima relic you're working on. So theoretically, you could trade the Zodiac spear in to get a quick start on the Anima greatsword if you wanted. I could be mistaken about this, so feel free to fact check me if you know better, but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

  17. Patch 6.3 removed the repeatable Aether oil quest so now youre forced to buy them with poetics. A bummer but it's just something else to add to the passive grind.

  18. My favourite thing about the anima relics, as opposed to the eureka and resistance weapons, is that being on the extremely quiet oceania data center doesn't really hurt the relic grind. I'd be extremely lucky to find 7 other players in bozja or eureka so getting through that content sucks, but pretty much everything with the anima relics can be done solo or grouped up with players doing other regular activities.

The other great thing is that you don't need to be on the job, have the weapon equiped, and have the quest active to progress most steps which makes is way easier to multi task.

  19. be aware: the hw relics require you to run the various trials and dungeons with the job the relic is for.
doing damage as healer for unsync runs is a pain in the butt IMHO, because you have to kill the final boss with your puny lvl 60 relic equipped; at light gather stage it is an ilvl260 only weapon
