  1. without using cooldowns as tank you cant properly wall to wall kite mobs & players doing that dont understand what it mean to active block incoming damage & propably they didnt play tanks in nocasual content in other mmos but thats speculative from my side

  2. Yeah generally speaking the defensives are used more often for large trash pulls, when boss fights start they generally won't throw out a lot of damage at first and the biggest defensives will hardly ever be needed especially dungeon bosses. At the very least one defensive tanks should always use for trash pulls is Arm's Length, it's so powerful and most bosses are immune to its effect (not to say it shouldn't be used in boss fights if they throw out knockbacks).

  3. As a healer/tank main, this is becoming a trend of level 90? sprout tanks not using their defensives and mitigations on wall to wall trash pulls or only pop them AFTER they already took the damage and almost died. I usually just leave now, even if we don't wipe, when I don't feel like carrying the tank, who at level 90 should know how to do the basics of his/her job and role. Many of them will react defensively and become obnoxious if you try to give polite suggestions or advice, or simply ignore you, so I don't do it anymore, unless the tank is genuinely trying and just doesn't know. ( it's the ego tanks, I'm talking about) I played WoW since vanilla to BfA and FFXIV since ARR until current (EW). I know that tanks in WoW usually tend to reserve cooldowns as "oh shit" situational buttons rather than something for normal trash pull rotations. So, I am speculating that could be part of the reason since we have so many ex-WoW players who transitioned over recently. Same problem with healers who seem reluctant to dps or 'save' ogcd heals only as 'oh shit' situational buttons rather than something in their normal heal/dps rotations and they start running into mp management issues because they are trying to hard cast every heal. Use your buttons, gang! This isn't WoW. Tanking and healing are done differently here. Almost every button, including cooldowns, you have are meant to be used, and used often in rotation, so please use them.

  4. As a Whitemage main.
Please use your mitigation. It makes everyone's job so much easier. You do a mitigation, I pop regens on you lil' shield here then I can focus on killing the mobs with the dps and we have a happy day. 🙂

  5. I'm sorry to any healer that had to play with me on higher lvl runs. I'm just now optimizing my remote for more skills at lvl 90. x.x I got too comfortable with playing with NPCs. Live and learn. Great video

  6. i was surprised by how many tanks just straight dont use their cooldowns for pulls.. i made a comment about it in a popular fb group and a majority of the comments were from tanks AND HEALERS saying they just take it as a challenge.. like bro why are you enabling people to be bad at their jobs

  7. I would argue that tank CDs are more generally more important in mob pulls than in boss fights.

    1. It's good practice. You learn to spread out your tank CDs between pulls. It will also allow you to keep your "oh shit" button handy just in case.

    2. It's considerate of the healer. Dungeons are group content, where the group is most effective when they synchronize their tools for maximum efficiency/effectiveness.

Anyone who behaves in an entitled matter regarding what they shouldn't have to do earns their spot on the blacklist.

  8. I feel like tanks that do this are coming over from WOW. Different styles. Anyways good to see a video from you Bwana. I don't think I've had one pop up in awhile.
