  1. All Helms, Shoulders, Chests have a Domination Socket. The other two item slots have Domination Sockets depending on your armor type:

    Cloth: Bracers & Belt

    Leather: Gloves & Boots

    Mail: Belt & Boots

    Plate: Bracers & Gloves

so say if you wore Mail armor, and made one of your LEgendaries as a Bracer, you would probably want to Craft one for a different slot. Since you can only wear ONE legendary at a time the slot matters alot pre 9.1 because say for example your Worst in slot raid item might have been fixed by this specific legendary choice, and now in 9.1 with new raid and new legenday powers and such its not.
    Hope this makes sense.

  2. This is just the same thing they keep doing. These systems seem half-assed on the surface. All it doing is driving you into another system that most players don’t enjoy. It’s why I gave up after my guild finished the first tier of content.

Blizzard is repeating themselves a 3rd time and it’s got the potential to be worst then BFA

  3. I miss Marvel Heroes, for all it's issues, I racked up 2200 hours in that game (Not counting hours on the original launcher before it's Steam release) and after all this time I still creep it's listing in my Steam Library, which should alarm anyone once they hear my opinion on the current state of WoW. I've dealt with nonsense systems, but this? (That's the important part, the rest is just me ranting about Blizzard)

As for World of Warcraft. I don't think anyone has spoken with a WoW Rep since Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street worked there. That dude was a boss, and what gamers needed to see on the official forums. For a long time Blizzard has been mostly running on silent, and all information is being released through trailers, or a PR approved mouthpiece. Apparently nothing sales subscriptions like the suppression of information? FIK… Anyway, I'll always play WoW, the same way that I'll always play FFXIV. The difference however is that I play FFXIV not only for the content, but also because I actually feel as if they give a %$#@ about player feedback, so remain subbed, even when I'm not always playing it. Hell, If WoW placed a tenth of the effort Gazillion placed on community interaction, they wouldn't even have this problem right now. In my opinion, If Blizzard somehow unscrews the tail on this anti-player system that they've created, it's undoubtedly because they believe they will benefit from it; not because they have any awareness as to why people were opposed to it in the first place.

  4. I think Blizzard's being slick, they know they're going to work on a sequel and are just trying to wind the game down to make room for that. It's just all funny and confusing how they're going about it, they can permanently lose brand loyalty. Either way the genre as a whole's in big trouble if XIV has no good competition left.

  5. I am finally done with Blizzard – they crossed a line and there is no return. Sad to see this game goes down, but i will watch it happen and have a laugh… a bitter laugh, but a laugh.

  6. For the legendary recrafting, it depends on the slot. So 2 of my main's best legendaries are belts. Belts wouldn't get this "materia-esque" socket so I don't need to recraft. But for many classes the best legendary would be for the same armor piece that will get this new socket – so they will have to recraft. The reality is they would have had to anyway since I think the max level of the item was increased and you pretty much have to recreate it to level it even before this.

  7. The recrafting situation in WoW is really not as bad as you made it sound. However, it's an additional pain point that could have easily been avoided if Blizzard wanted to. It was reported 4 weeks before the patch by a very prominent content creator. At that time people thought it was unintentional and it would be addressed, but it wasn't. And worse of all, this situation exists because of a new system the game didn't need and nobody wanted.

This recrafting situation also requires people to run even more Torghast than they expected, a piece of content that is so dreaded by the community that it was nicknamed "Choreghast" on the second week of the expansion. So yeah… people are not happy about it.

  8. The legendary thing is not an issue at all, because its pretty trivial to make a legendary its not a grind its 20 mins max a week for 2 weeks done. Not in raids or dungeons just in one instance called torghast which is farmable. And it will take you many weeks to get the gear with sockets and the shards. So you will have all the mats to make many many legendaries by that point.

  10. I guess for a lot of people the soul ash was less of a problem than the gold price of the base items. another idiotic point about the legys btw. some classes had to pay 100k for a single legy. but i guess they wanted to sell some more wow tokens to the community
