  1. god those fan aoes are annoying as hell when you're almost as blind as a bat, managed to only die to them once though 😛 thanks for the great guides!

  2. Is it just a thing that these video guide makers do it just to troll people. I gave ita thumbs up because it was actually 'explaining' how to recognise and work the mechanics (rather than just showing and edit of the fight while waffling on unintelligibly, ahem-t-q) … but then no cover of those moony symbols which were the one reason I came here. ffs

  3. Cultural note: Zashiki-asobi means parlor games as those done during parties where geisha entertain their customers. Tôsenkyô is one such game where participants take turns throwing an open fan at a target. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C9LnlN1v5g&t=72s There are different outcomes depending on how the fan hits the mark and where both fall, each of these having a value in points and a name. One of those names is Yugiri (evening mist), same as a certain shinobi from Yumi-no-sato.

  4. These videos have helped my anxiety so much!!! Thank you! It gets a little intimidating knowing I've only played since November and others have years of experience. Between you and my partner i know i got this, or I'll just die res and do it again!

  6. Thank you for the guide, it explained very well without rushing to make it the shortest guide and blurred out to protect spoilers. I love how you explained zashiki asobi too!! Also thank you for speaking in a humble voice not speaking like you are trying to show off or trying to be so cute, it makes this video informative and easy to watch. Thanks so much!!!

  7. Thank you. Much appreciated. Especially blurring the spoiler section.

I unfortunately had my first “bad” experience in FFXIV with this raid. Healer with a macro that said “lol dragoons. Raising you again” which ruined the moment for me.

Edit: worth mentioning that they had this popping several times in the fight, another player was "Raising you, but hey at least you're not a dragoon!"

Tried as I could, there were way too many effects on screen and I could not see the fans when they appeared. So I was too late to react the first time. Second death I was part of the stack up attack, but it only killed me for some reason. I don't know what I did wrong. I tried my best.

I dunno. New players beware on this one.

  8. I dont think T is silent in her name, it's not an English word. Ts is a consonant in eastern languages, English has no alphabet for it. You can hear the name in cut scene

  9. Thank you for the guide. This one seems to be a fairly unpopular fight based on queue times (average 16 min on Saturday at noon). Hope I don't have to wait too long.
edit: It worked out just fine, we cleared first try. Three DPS died to the fans, but it was alright.
