FFXIV – Reminder that when you get Raise'd, you're invulnerable for 5 secs if you don't use skills.*

*You can still move normally, just don’t use any skills (like Sprint)
You can still get hit by knockbacks though. Just because you’re invulnerable doesn’t mean you’re immovable. Had an Alliance member get Raise’d into knockbacks twice in a row off the stage. Didn’t notice it myself but was mentioned in chat.
Some extra info from the comments:
-there are some skills that go through res invuln, but they are rare. Always avoid attacks even while invuln and don’t use anything until you’re healed or out of invuln.
-attacks with Vulnerability debuffs will still affect you so be sure to still avoid them as soon as you can move.

I GET it if it sprouts but you have like all character level 80, and A MENTOR CROWN and still don't know how res invlun works ???

like Ramsay said: ARE YOU A DONKEY????????

  2. i didnt even know about invuln at first and i main blm so i would always cast my manaward right after a rez. i thought i was making it easier on the healers and saving myself in case i got hit but i was really just making myself susceptible to damage LOL

  3. Flashbacks to when I remembered the invuln too late after immediately accepting a res and tried to panic-heal myself up.
Got two commends playing dragoon that time. I assume because memes.

  4. Me in the Alliance Deathgaze fight for the first time: Hmm, so you have to run away from that attack twice, or it'll get you. I'll avoid it next time. [Accepts Raise] Hmm what's the green swirly thing OH NOOOOOOOOooooo

  5. A lot of people don't realise that they are invincible for those 5 seconds. They jump straight in to attack before you can pop an insta heal on them and wonder why they died to an aoe. Is that eagerness to hit the enemy worth dying for.

Whereas when I die, which is usually from carelessly raising someone while thinking I have enough time to do that & get out of the attack that follows. I usually use the invulnerability to get my bearings & if there's a healer stack attack in some savages right after, I take the hit while invulnerable to avoid dying again while healing everyone up.

  6. I'm I'm fairly new player relatively speaking and this has shocked me I had no idea. The amount of times I would have been fine when getting brought back if I would have known this is too many times to count
