  1. Sad that shoulders of many chest pieces being absurdly huge for hrothgals isn't being investigated when subtle eye shadows are. My pauldrons look like a WoW character and half the old outfits look too stupid to wear, even if basically all 7.0 gear looks good.

Don't believe me? Get a female hrothgar to wear the level 70 red mage armor. Wearing flotation devices on their biceps. Some outfits like the late Allagan caster gear have cloaks that actually lift up rather than hanging down because the shoulders scale the cloth so huge.

  2. Overall the graphic update was nice and so was the character changes BUT dye systems and other QoL changes like term filter was disappointing and felt half baked and I hope they go back and tweak those more

  3. I will once again say it! Everyone who likes (or dislikes) something about the updates? Shoudl go to the FFXIV forums! The devs won't know you want that thing to stay – or go – unless you post on their forums about it! Most of the internet has moved on past forums being a hangout place, but when it comes to FFXIV and WoW, and even games like The Sims 4… the devs get feedback primarily from their forums.

  4. XIV is not without it's issues, but few teams/producers respond with the care and passion that I find the XIV team does. I LOOOOVE the graphics update. I am very attached to my character's appearance; even changing her hair was a "Nope, that's not her" kinda vibe. But I have never looked so deeply as to care about the directions of eye lashes, for example. But I acknowledge that there are people who are.

  5. Oh good! One of my alts has a hairstyle where the front braid is slightly levitating off the scalp, and I have a Viera who looks like she just buried her nose in some ash. Good to know that those have been noticed!

  6. I hope that someday they will make Au Ra facial tattoos not blend with their scales.
I just want my Au Ra to have a slight reddish blush without her her scales getting colored as well. It looks weird

  7. I also hope they won't drastically change my character's face again.
After the 7.0 patch I was quite upset about my characters new appearance so I had to literally pick a different face. But that time I was still in ARR so I didn't really mind as much afterwards.
Now being further in the story my character really grew on me and really I love the way my character looks like. If she ends up looking different again it would break immersion and she would just feel Alien to me

  8. I'll say, one thing I noticed that's less to do with the graphical update and more to do with cutscene design, is that in a lot of dawntrail cutscenes they tended to use angry expressions for no reason. My miqo'te constantly had her eyebrows in an angry expression during cutscenes when listening to other characters, and it felt extremely out of context. It was almost as glaring as some of the times back in shb and ew when the character looked pensive/regretful. I wish they scaled back on that because I was constantly thrown off by how often my miqo'te was angry for no good reason.

  9. None of this stuff they wrote are things I care about, like in a sense of having an entire essay written on it for the lodestone. Like yeah little visual bugs and glitches fix them ASAP. Then bury that in the patch notes behind more important things like being able to actually have more face options, letting xaela pick between blue or black scales no matter their gender, updating the ugly 2D miqote tails to be 3D. Fixing weird issues like male miqo'te broken fingers in their default idle stance. Or better yet, having cutscenes actually reflecting our chosen idle stance. Maybe even adding more idle stances. Butt sliders, every race having a muscle slider… hell while we're on this why not improve the muscle slider in general to not look so crappy? More gear having that 2nd dye channel, existing 2nd dye channels that barely do much adjusted to actually change more, etc.

  10. Oh my, I hoped this whole thing was done by now. I just like my character the way it is and I constantly have to live in fear that it looks different after such changes. Making lips thicker is something I hate anyway, I want those lips to look normal, not like some quack collagen party accident…
If they want to change something they could decouple the face markings of miqo'te from the faces, as I'd prefer lighter ones but my face has the heaviest, but is otherwise the most mature looking one.

  11. I'm REALLY proud of a lot of the new changes, like — i realize not everyone has, like there's CLEARLY VALID bugs that people have found! (*Myself included, eyebrows on seeker miqo male make the face paint stripe bug out weird depending on the version) – And i know i'm overhyper about some stuff because autistic and all that – but dang, two dye slots in a lot of newer gear? I barely even glammed before now, now i'm needing 40 plates for 8.0 pls XD
