  1. I have a question if you do a Job boost I know it auto completes all the quest to it. With the New game + feature can you experience the class/job quests again more or less completely?
I have a lot of Jobs not leveled and have on and off thought about using boosts but I want to also experience the story of the Jobs and classes.
So does the new game + feature work well enough for that?

  2. When I first started, I boosted jobs a few jobs to 70 and did a lot of cut scene skips. I've finished ShadowBringers and levelled all War/Magic jobs to 80 in readiness for EndWalker. However, I have gone back the start of the game with an alt and I'm not skipping any scenes or doing any boosting…and I am enjoying it very much – even ARR expansions have been worth the pain of fetch this fetch that just to get to the crunch scenes at the end of ARR itself. I highly recommend not skipping the story or dungeon scenes first time. Right from the start you are introduced to the main characters which are soooo important later on in the expansions. Like the man said, boost an alt, but not your main. I also highly recommend not job boosting if possible. You won't learn your rotations properly for sure. Some storylines, such as Dark Knight for example, are simply not to be missed. Boost an Alt, but keep your main true.

  3. Job Boosting has its pros and cons, so it's up to the player really, but the story for each job is good so I don't really advice to do so. Also, story Skip has limited pros and a lot of cons really. If players want to jump ahead and go back using NEw Game + then that is possible, but it's an awkward progression really. Might as well enjoy the story naturally rather than fast-track it to just be on the current content. These are just my personal opinion 😀

  4. when people say they find it a grind levelling jobs it confuses me a little as i often think one of the reasons i've always loved mmos is the grind… like; someone below said something about how they couldnt bear taking another char through 61-70 on HoH… and to me im thinking "but you can do that in about 2 days if you no life it…maybe 4 days if you take it easy and do a couple roulettes…" it doesnt seem a big deal to me… i found it satisfying to level all the jobs, tho i did do it organically over the last 7 years and at my own pace so i've never had the fomo feeling.

so if people wanna boost an alt to play on a diff server with friends, then that makes way more sense, and i've no quarrel there. But the people that find it a grind to level a job…i have to questions whether an mmo is even the right style of game for them. What are they gonna think when they try and do a relic weapon? "oh god this is gonna take me months…i wish i could just pay £20 and buy my relic from the shop"

  5. i will tell u this. With story is always hit or miss for some people. It just personal taste. There still not such story created that would appeal to everyone. There is people who hate ff stories and dont like stories about "chosen light warriors hero kind of story". But in the end there is alot mmo rpg elemets in 14 to enjoy so if u feel that story not ur thing its nothing wrong to skip it. U can always watch recap or play it at later day with alt.
